03/02/2005 | Here's an intriguing story. Way back in early 2004, I made the following RIA post about big-haired Justin: Saw him waiting tables at TGIF. Now fast forward to Feb. 2005, I'm watching MAD TV and they did a skit about former American Idol contestants and one of the troupe-members portrayed Justin working at...you guessed it dressed up like a waiter, wearing a striped shirt, and working at TGIFs! Coincidence? I think not. I am thoroughly convinced of a conspiracy theory where comedy writers are vetting through RIA posts and claiming it as their own humor.

#1- Guarini's naturally elegant voice. Guarini's vocals have a smooth soulfulness and his lyric delivery is superb.
#2- Because the CD made an attempt to step out of the American Idol box of overwrought ballads.

He may be only the runner-up but geezz gie him some credit... he is a good singer when it comes to R & B and im sure he could do some POP with people like J Timberlake and Nick Carter!!!

It takes a lot of talent to make another artist's song all your own, and he wasn't able to do that as the runner-up on American Idol's first season. He has some stage know-how, but truthfully I've been more impressed by the song stylings I've heard at local Karaoke bars. Love his Chia-Pet hair, though.

10/13/2003 | I must admit I was pleasantly surprised with Justin's CD. I don't necessarily like some
of the songs he got stuck with. They are a little manufactured for my taste. However, that being said, I like Unchained Melody, Sorry, Doin Things and I Saw Your Face. I enjoy how Justin really feels the song. His voice sounds much stronger than when he was on American Idol. I believe this multi-talented guy will be around for a long time.

10/13/2003 | I NEVER get tired of this CD! Justin just sounds better and better each time you listen. SO many good songs, it impossible to choose a favorite..... from sexy "Doin' Things" to the heartbreaking "Condition of My Heart" and cool beat of "Sorry" ..... this man has, hands down, the most SEDUCTIVE voice in the biz. WELL worth it, I'm picking up another copy on his BIRTHDAY, October 28, to thank him for all the pleasure this CD has given me. HIGHLY recommended.

He has a smooth sound, very sexy look to him and I think he can pull the love ballads very well. I do believe his voice is at its best when he is dueting with Miss Clarkson, such as on Timeless. She ads to his power.

10/13/2003 |  This CD is such a harmonious, musical journey from start to finish. It is my first introduction to R&B, and I really love it. I am so glad Justin brought his stamp to Unchained Melody. I will always think of him on this song. Thinking of You is my favorite. Certain tones to his voice in this song do to me what music is supposed to do; make your spirit soar. When I first heard the emotion in Get Here, I just could not listen to the song enough times. His harmony with Kelly is beautiful. I also love Inner Child from the first Whoa to the last note. Sorry is just cool. How Will You Know makes for a relaxing background song. It's very mello. I would love to hear it at a store or restaurant. Doin' Things should be being played at clubs throughout the country. This man has longevity. With his voice he can sing anything. For people who say he shouldn't do Pop or just R&B, Justin will eventually come into his own niche and find what he's the most comfortable with. In the meantime, this gem of a CD will always be in my walkman.

10/13/2003 | For a debut CD with many fans to please, I think Justin did a fine job covering all the bases. His voice is as sexy and smooth as we remember from American Idol, and he sings a variety of songs from dance tunes to pop, from ballads to R&B, from a duet to cover tunes, and even one with a latin feel. I hope his next CD will show his own style more and have more of his voice on it, without so much of the background vocals, which sometimes distract from the beauty of his voice. Even so, this has become one of my all time favorite CDs!

10/13/2003 | This is a great CD that appeals to people of all ages. From my 3 year old daughter singing along to Inner Child to my 60+ mother-in-law humming along to Unchained Melody. I personally love I Saw Your Face, Sorry, If You Wanna and Condition of My Heart. Justin's voice is magical, sultry and true and you will never get tired of listening to these great songs!! Add to that the fact that he's gorgeous and gracious - and you've got the whole package. Give him a video and he'll explode on the music scene!

I tend to like the songs that really showcase his vocal range, Unchained Melody, Sorry and I Saw Your Face. I also enjoyed the playful Doin Things We're Not Supposed To Be Doing, If You Wanna and Condition of My Heart. Justin showed his vocal versatility, however, I do agree that some of the songs were over produced. In my opinion that is not the fault of the artist. I look forward to more music from this multi-talented artist. I would say that this is a great CD if your likes lean toward R&B.

09/18/2003 | Justin Guarini's cd is incredible!I can't quit listening to it,I love every song on it.Justin projects so much emotion when he sings Condition Of My Heart and I find myself playing it over and over again.Sorry is an unusually cool song that gets your attention.I Saw Your Face and Doin Things are wonderful,but so are the rest of the songs.This is one of,if not the best CD's,that I have ever owned.

09/18/2003 | Very disappointing effort from the runner up of the first American Idol. Fans will be very happy with this product, but if you never watched the show the CD is irrelevent. Rehashed R&B light and "sexy" songs used to capitalize on Mr Guarini's "charms" fail to help the singer stand apart from the handful of other male R&B light artists out there today. In order to make any impact musically he will need MUCH better material and better technical help in the studio to help camoflage where Mr Guarini's voice has been doctored.
My recomendation would be to skip this and wait and see for the next CD.

09/18/2003 | Guarini's voice is smooth and elastic. The album is a captivating listen. Repeated listenings reveal new subtle nuances and the rare ability Guarini has of meaningfully delivering each song's lyrics. This debut album suggests his artistic possibilities are unlimited.

However, there are a lot of new songs with a little for everyone. Some R&B, some pop tunes and a wonderful ballad with Kelly Clarkson. I highly recommend this CD.
