Day or night, there is no beating the atmosphere at Virginia Tech. And with the new expansion this year to wall all that sound down onto the field, it will only get louder! GO HOKIES!!!

Their concessions have the most diverse offerings I've seen anywhere. The Underage Girls, Alcohol, and Pot windows are very popular, especially amongst the players.

Rather old and outdated, althought they've been adding to it forever. It was really great before Ron Mexico when our fans would actually equal the number of Tech fans. Since Mexico's two year visit, they act like they've been a football powerhouse forever and selling the place out since it was built. Beautiful campus, though, too bad it's located in Blackhole, VA where the men are men and the sheep are nervous.

My high school stadium was better built. View isn't bad as long as they get rid of those cows in the pasture outside the stadium. The cow patties smell.

Very bad place for a family. My daughter got hit with a cup of ice last year. I am still a hokie fan, but our little success has gone to our heads. I will watch from home now. The university screwed all there season ticket holders anyway.

I used to be a season ticket holder, but about three years ago I gave up my tickets because of rowdy, obscene behavior both inside and outside the stadium, now we just watch on the farm...

I went in 2004. I was with my wife. I was cursed verbally by an elderly lady and her husband. They flipped us off and really laid it on thick. We were near the stadium and I was surprised that no other Hokies stood up for us. I would say avoid this place. Their fans are classless and the administration encourages a negative atmosphere. I have also heard recently about numerous off-season issues. Something about some players brandishing guns at other students. Apparently all charges were dropped...

Well aged stadium with nothing to offer a fan. The fans are rude and it hard to stay in hotel remotely close to the stadium. A friend of mine had a beer dumped on him because of the jersey he wore. I really think Lane would be better suited to rebuild. Not a great stadium or atmosphere.

Reminds me of the old Orange Bowl! It is just an ancient relic and should be torn down. The fans inhabiting the stadium are classless rednecks. For goodness sakes the entrance to the stadium goes through a cow pasture! Actually I am not sure why they located the school in Blacksburg..a small southern town with backwards ways. The people that inhabit the stadium during a VPI football game are typical appalachian people of the area that are very much related to one another, read: inbreeding here. Also the school really is only geared towards producing graduates that have specialties in agriculture and subsistence farming. Some slash and burn is also taught there as well. In a nutshell the degrees and classes I spoke about link to the stadium because that is where the classes are taught on non-football use days. It takes alot of work to get it cleaned up for gamesdays and is often left in very subpar conditions by the inbred fans after a loss. Read: cow patty tossing here at team after a loss!

Lane Stadium was better when you could pick splinters out of your butt when attending a game there. Now, it is just another dull, bland, pathetic place where dillusional Hokies dream of days long gone.

STEEP bleachers, terrible view, and even worse fans.

Average capacity for a so called major DI program. All 4 sections of stands are different heights--go figure for an engineering school. Fans are the worse I have ever been around. Most other NC State fans I spoke with had the same experience; drunk immature students, older VT fans were obnoxious and rude and our car was vandalized. Parking is good, but not safe. Downtown of Blacksburg is rather boring. Can't say I welcome VT to the ACC after my experience in 2004.

Crappiest stadium in college football. Hide your 11-12 year olds from Ron Mexico Jr. This place is a dump, they still even have wooden seats. All you can smell is cow @#$! Beamer needs a good swift kick in the goiter.

This is one of the worst stadiums I have ever been to. The Virginia Tech fans are the most unclassy fan base in college football. The layout of lane stadium is weird and doesnt compare to Mountaineer field. Atmosphere wise, WVU beats Va. Tech any Saturday.

this is one of the worst places to get into and out of on gameday and that is why i rate it this way otherwise the campus is really quite attractive i like it's setting and i like how close you are to the field when sitting in their stands..and that also makes it a loud and very hard place to play in and yes i bleed wvu gold and blue

One of the best places if not the best in the Country to see a game. Not a bad seat in the stadium, and if you like a loud pumped up place you would love a game at Lane. The people really know how to cheer on the Hokies and visitors are welcome except a few WVU and UVa fans who dont know how to act. Just ask the experts what they think of watching a game here. And oh yeah WVU great season, BCS game was automatic i thought?
