From a perspective of marketing and supplying the demand, I give the man credit, sex sells. However, Howard has no morals and no obligation to anything but his own financial value and he rapes the spirit of freedom of speech.

Howard Stern's old radio show was far more entertaining than his Sirius show. For real cutting edge humor, check out Opie and Anthony on XM radio. They are hilarious and passionate about what they do, unlike Stern, who seems bored and obsessed with complaining about why he can't do the show he wants to do.
lempilot 01/23/2006
Compared to Opie and Anthony Stern is God.
gollygwiz 01/21/2006
He was okay maybe 10 years ago, but now every show is the same. Some chick gets naked, he critiques her body, she cries and leaves. He sucks and won't be any better on the little doggy company's radio.
Bread 01/17/2006
Howard Stern has AIDS.
Honey-faced Steve 01/15/2006
I used to listen prior to '95 Since then he has become the antithesis of comedy. His show is boring and hack-riddled. I say to him these words ... "Good luck, bro".
YaHearIHearMe 01/15/2006
Howard was funny back in the 1800's its time for grandpa to just rot in the nursing home and let the young talent take over.....which Opie and Anthony have already done good work B-B-B-b-b-boys. Oh and another thing Howard's dauther...one ugly bitch
NorfCal 01/11/2006
I bought the hype when Howard came to my town in 2001 and listened. It was mildly amusing. Then the same station picked up Opie & Anthony in the afternoons, and I found myself laughing much harder. After learning about Howards lies and hypocrisy I am proud to say I have been "Howard-free" since October 4 2004, the day Opie & Anthony debuted on XM Satellite radio.
Dally Dooly 01/11/2006
Howie USED to be funny. Now he's just a hack. Even he admitted it: "I've been doing sub-par radio for the past 10 years". Really, Howie? He tries to blame it on the FCC, on Bush, on everybody but himself. He is the reason his audience has dwindled, and he is the reason that not a whole lot of people will follow him to Sirius. The Doggy company made a huge mistake in signing him for that much money, and they are gonna have to start figuring out ways to make a ton of money quick, because he sure isn't going to bring in the subscriptions. Face it Howard, you're done.
Robert Reed 01/11/2006
He hasn't been funny since he fired Billy West for grabbing his wife's butt. Seriously, he lost it in the late 80's-early 90's. His last few years have been dismal. I feel sorry for ANYONE who wasted money on Sirius. XM satellite radio is FAR better. More-gooder too!
JeffSipes13 01/11/2006
Howard Stern is funny, comical and amusing, 5 stars!
aboros 01/10/2006
I used to be a huge fan but his show has gone so far down hill. In his prime he had like 13 - 15 million listners. Last month before he went on satellite he had 6 million. Now he has under 1 million. His days are over. And now his old nemesis all have more listeners than him; Imus, O&A, etc. Even D&M might have more listeners. If you want to hear uncensored radio from people still in thier prime, get XM (cheaper/better units too) and listen to O&A.
YellowstoneSte ve 01/10/2006
I wouldn't pay 10 cents for a Sirius unit in my hybrid car. I like radio personalities who aren't lying, hypocritical, talentless hacks who claim to have "invented" everything new and popular in the last 20 years.
JeepJeepJeep 01/10/2006
Serrius Sucks I should have gotten XM with O & A
danzup3 01/10/2006
I can't wait til Sirius goes bankrupt after paying this idiot. Why would you bring on a hacky has-been to boost sales of their crappy service? Maybe when they can get the size of their units smaller than shoe boxes that will help, but I really do hope they go broke after paying this moron who hasn't been funny since 1985
sunstorm1001 01/08/2006
Glad he is off commercial "free" radio, now I won't accidentally turn on to his vile bile when changing channels, let all those like people pay to have to listen to his stuff, thank you! The free airwaves are now a better place to listen!
sixmotorunits 01/07/2006
He is such a dink. I do not know why I keep listening to him.
MariusQelDroma 12/28/2005
Chief pottymouth of the shock jock world. I listen to John Holmberg on 98 KUPD Phoenix before I'll stomach Stern's drivel.
wpb1310 12/28/2005
sorry dont get it.
alsimons 12/14/2005
I dont care how much money he's making. It doesnt make him as smart as he thinks he is. I got tired of him after seeing one tv show and hearing 2 radio programs. Then the repetition set in. Any woman who goes on his show and subjects herself to his ridiculous "humor" can't be worth knowing, no matter what she looks like. I just wonder why they keep going to get evaluated for Playboy when they are gonna be air-brushed anyway; not to mention how lame Playboy is.
Chrisjackson 12/11/2005
Not often enough will he ever make a decent point, I'm just happy he is still supporting our troops in the middle east, for that he deserves credit. What business did Bill Oreily have with howard anyway.
samjung23 12/11/2005
What a lamer. I can't believe people have fallen for him so many years. He's the worst radio host ever. When he was just any other guy, he decided to put his perverted fantasies on the show, add a black woman who laughs at anything, and voila instant success. He's a pretty lame guy in real life, he doesn't seem like the cool guy he presents himself to be. I saw an interview he did with O'Reilly today, and man, I couldn't tell who was the bigger blowhard. Stern is a dork on the inside who will say anything to get listeners; he could've been a politician if the radio gig didn't work out.
ADriggers 12/07/2005
same crap for all these years! was an avid listener for a long time, but it gets old day in and day out

MFFDVR 11/06/2005
Where the hell's the zero on this thing...bad enough the radio program blows, can you at least put the t.v. show on HBO or something so we can lose the fuzzy breast things...then I could mute and maybe enjoy it.
cinderellah 10/26/2005
Through the years I have been a selective listener and Howard fan. Sometimes I think he is great and sometimes I can't stand him. I have always enjoyed his celebrity interviews. A lot of his material is getting really old and tough to listen to. I wonder if his kids and parents listen to his show? He does exploit too many people; mentally challenged, young women, etc. Sometimes I think that's taking it too far. C'mon Howard you are 51 years old, get over the obsession with 18 year old women, it makes you look like a pervert. For the past couple of years all he talks about is who he would bang or wants to bang. First of all Howie dear, you aren't so easy on the eyes so you need to stop getting some of us ill with the visual of having sex with you. If Howard was a handsome stud, his obsessive talk about sex might be better tolerated. He has too many UGLY men on his show who judge women! He needs to get a panel of fine looking hunks. To sum it up Howard needs to move on and get some new material! He has served his purpose and we can thank him for his invested time. Good Luck to him on the pay waves!
jw 10/20/2005
Howard was my favorite radio show, by far, until he came out in support of the Iraq war. Loser.
Kimi1992 10/02/2005
This is one of the few shows that makes you laugh so hard, you can feels your sides paining like hell. One d*** joke and then I am one the floor saying How much laughing can you do in one morning?!
zuchinibut 09/09/2005
I honestly have a hard time listening to Howard Stern, and I don't have a problem with the whole Shock-Jock deal. Its not that I find him crude or anything, but I just don't think his show is that funny.
208254 09/08/2005
loud mouth idiot
irate_it_all 09/08/2005
Great humor when he puts his mind to it. Awesome cast of characters to play off. A huge turn-off when he starts wallowing in self pity, which has been too much and too often lately. Maybe satellite will rejuvinate him, but I'm worried that nothing will be as funny for the class clown without a school principal around.
GenghisTheHun 08/31/2005
He stuff is getting old and repetitive. Maybe when he gets on satellite, he'll get some new material.
got one 08/21/2005
today's lesson, if you say hoo hoo hoo robin, i invented everything, everyone is just ripping me off! enough times, people will believe you. the bababooey calls were great... for about a decade. you can only take a few thousand of them. and the only reason that ape is on the show is so hoo hoo can do black jokes. at least he kept that ape in a dunking boof. i've done it all. i've done everything there is to do in radio. ok howard, no matter what anybody comes up with, you've already done it. the pat battle is brewing. i repeat, the pat battle is brewing.
jaywilton 08/15/2005
By far the world's most boring person(only competition is Don Imus).
kingguiness 08/12/2005
He actually has the potential to be better. The lesbian fetish is way old. We all know they exist now. Thanks Howard but can we move on?
PlayMisty 08/09/2005
How many times can you hear the same breast joke?
musicprof 07/30/2005
Stern is old, tired, outdated, and should have retired years ago. Does he have fans? Yes, and their parents should tell them to turn this crap off! He only appeals to pre-pubecent boys and the men who haven't grown up and matured as they should have. Why any woman or girl would find anything to listen to or watch from Stern is beyond me. Come on, ladies! Have some self-respect and tell the pig to get lost. I hope his sattelite show sinks to the bottom faster than one of his tired old fart jokes!
ges_the_scorpi o 06/30/2005
listening to his show is my guilty pleasure. i know i shouldn't be laughing at his racist remarks, insensitivity, and immaturity, but you know, sometimes i just gotta let loose and not give a damn
Joe_M 06/05/2005
After all these years, Howard is still the King of All Media! Bababooey to you all!
OVERMAN 06/04/2005
I invented rating things. I did that when I used to have people come in and rate women. Tell em, Fred. All voting sites rip me off.
smokeyfireguy 06/04/2005
hoo, hoo, i used to tell people to wrap rateing boards around thier cars... tell em fred.. todays phrase that pays is.. Howie is a has been.....
Wid71 05/17/2005
The only people this show attracts anymore are the type of guys who still find their own farts hilarious.
James76255 05/16/2005
There is no doubt that Stern tapped into something in radio that nobody dared to touch before him. He spawned countless copycats across the country, and managed to push the envelope hard while not destroying it. That said, I do have my problems with him. He's getting to be a one trick pony. There's only so many times he can bring in a girl to take off her clothes, talk about how nice their boobs are, and it be interesting radio. I also have a problem with anyone that uses the excuse of freedom of speech to do nothing more than drop an F bomb whenever they want. He's still mildly entertaining at this point, enough I still venture back from time to time, but I wonder how much longer it will last.
minkey 05/12/2005
Howard Stern was a pioneer to the world of radio. He broke the door open with his antics and revolutionized the media, encouraging people to express their opinions. Through the years he's accumulated a fan base of 8.5 million listeners daily. Aside from his comedy he expresses educated and intelligent (although very one-sided) opinions about current issues and politics.
CastleBee 05/11/2005
All the obvious objections with his style of radio shtick aside, the truth is, Howard is just a tired old reprobate now. His focus was never very wide - bodily function and sexually obsessive humor obviously meant to be cutting edge shock but is actually so common it can be found in any Jr. High school boys locker room any day of the week. I would be willing to bet he started the recycling process during his first week on the air. Since then he was left with reworking the same old smut with the same low-life, desperate to be noticed suckers who constantly parade through his studio. Oh well, there really is no accounting for taste.
Tesla's Revenge 05/03/2005
I look forward to the day that he goes to satellite, then maybe a solar flare will blast it out of orbit. What in the world does anyone see in this freak, who has some ridiculous sexual problem/obsession with strippers and other dumb women willing to subject themselves to that cast of beer drinkin', porn watchin' low-lifes. PS. Nice 70's hair
phreakwithscis sors 04/29/2005
listened to him a little when i was young and immature, but now that i've grown up .... i manually skip the E! network on tv when his show is on.
CanadaSucks 04/29/2005
Not quite as edgy as he used to be because of Stalin-esque FCC crackdowns on free speech. (it's not obscene- the FCC couldn't explain obscenity to anyone because they make up rules as they go along.) Stern is great because he doesn't kiss celebrity ass- he doesn't pander to their projects. I'm surprised he's taking such a beating here.
grouchy prick 04/29/2005
old, worn out, washed up...time to put that nag out to pasture...the joy buzzer gag of radio...just let it friggin die.
