 | reeny (6) 09/07/2008 | i saw modest mouse in concert a few years ago and it was a beautiful experience. issac brock is a lyrical genius as far as i'm concerned. if you've never listened to modest mouse, i highly recommend it.

 | magellan (179) 06/14/2007 | My sister gave me The Lonesome Crowded West a couple of years ago, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. MM's songs are hypnotic - haunting vocals, disturbing, poetic lyrics, and repetitive hooky riffs. The coolest thing about MM for me is that they have a totally unique sound - in the crowded indie rock space, you will ALWAYS be able to tell a modest mouse song.
*After years of just missing this band for various bad luck reasons, I finally got a chance to check them out live at the Primavera Sound music festival. I'm happy to say that success hasn't slowed this notoriously thrilling live act down - they really bring it.*

 | Hardwire (2) 03/21/2006 | Talented band with the ability for unique introspection and inventive instrumentalization. They seem to get better as a band with each release, and if they continue that pattern they have nowhere to go but up.
I really like Moon and Antartica. Good News is pretty good and shows that Modest Mouse has the ability to write quality radio songs.
Modest Mouse is also an awesome band name.
I also thought it was cool when I found out that they sing that song off the Nissan commercial. I always liked that commercial because of that song (which is called Gravity Rides Everything) and I'm glad I found that Modest Mouse sings it.

 | kingguiness (13) 05/16/2005 | I guess they are good. I just have not paid much attention and now that they have crossed to the mainstream and the emo dorks around my neighborhood have their shirts Im in no hurry to discover them.

 | Skizero (15) 03/04/2005 | having been a fan since 1998, this brilliant band is finally getting it's due. obsessed w/death and mortality, Modest Mouse have been making diversive music for a decade now. Check Lonesome Crowded West to hear the band at full force, or get Good News... if you want the more accesable Modest Mouse. it's all fantastic music.

 | Nanaki (0) 02/16/2005 | .... what? Sorry to offend anyone out there, but how is this music? Franz Ferdinand is better than this, and they suck. They are even more horrible live, I saw them on TV. We'll all float on, alright, already, we'll all float on alright. Whatever. All well, if you guys like it fine. Whatever suits you.

 | dude_no_dude_really (0) 01/23/2005 | I don't even care that indie rock is the next rage to be-- Modest Mouse puts out interesting music. I for one am happy to see the kids exposed to something decent on those wacky FM stations for once!
