I wonder if he's using those on-line pharmacies in Mexico to score his Vicodin and hillbilly heroin now? Unfortunately, he lost his hearing, not his ability to talk.

Used to be interesting but seems confused since his drug addiction.

It's hard to give credit to someone who claims to be a champion of family values while running through three wives, taking news items out of context, indulging in illegal drugs, and spewing racist opinions.

I find it ironic and funny that Rush is number 27 on this list. If it wasn't for Rush, the 26 shows in front of him would most likely never have existed or lasted.
bdunes 11/17/2004
The progenitor of a generation of dittoheads needs no further lambasting; he probably should focus more on relapse prevention than blathering on in that self-parodizing, stentorian right-wing sycophantic disinformational voice.
ClassicTVFan47 11/15/2004
Although I may not agree entirely with him, Rush Limabaugh has a great show. IT is insightful, amusing, and a refeshing change from the liberally-biased elite media like CNN or ABC. The soundbites are often hilarious, and Limbaugh is often himself humorous. Clashes with stubborn, pessimistic liberal callers are often a highlight!
Toothless 11/10/2004
Clearly the best there is, or has ever been. Gets a bit out of hand at times, but then the entertainment value kicks into high gear. All other radio talkers are jealous, envious wannabes, especially Sean Hannity.

He was fat and then got addicted to oxycontin. He then became skinnier. He should run for mayor of Hazard, KY.
dummydem 09/30/2004
Articulate, informative, highly researched and searing in his analysis, Rush is on fire. Raw, in-your-face facts. Encourages listeners to prove it to themselves (which I have done quite a bit to have the facts to share with others. Shows like this will save our fragile democracy. This man defines the Talk medium. I can't recommend the show enough. Leans to the right, honest and personal. Interesting mix of political talk, commentary and music/humor. Very listenable over longer periods of time. he is the best!
eekamouse 09/28/2004
I had to listen to this drivel every damn day for two months- thank God for Randi Rhodes who will kick his fat oxycontin-filled behind! Oh, and Rush- be nicer to your maid.

He should be in jail like all the other junkies and he would make someone a nice bitch.

I really knew this guy was a case when, after being fired from ESPN for racist remarks, he blamed it on the liberal sports media. Liberal SPORTS media??!?? LOL. Two books have been written just debunking his statements. But I guess he makes some people feel better. Yuck.

He goes on and on about peripheral nonsense but never gets to the real threat facing America, the Zionist. He even made a point about saying he would never talk about the Zionist agenda on his show after receiving complaints that it never came up and was never discussed. This shows him to be a tool and sheepherder for the status quo.
Bengals160 09/09/2004
He's quite simply the benchmark for all other aspiring radio hosts. Smart, entertaining and informative. Agree with him or not, you can't dispute that Rush Limbaugh revolutionized political talk on the radio. That being said, he remains the gold standard and everyone else is just following his lead.

Rush Limbaugh is distressing, but I have to admit, his show is also hilarious. What is distressing is that there are so many people out there who can't see through his bullsh_t, faulty reasoning, false premises, and general mean-spiritedness. However, those of us who can see through Rush can't possibly save all those who can't or won't. But we can laugh at the ignorance in our midst.
rozandi 07/28/2004
Rush Limbaugh makes millions by dividing the country with dis-information and by catering to people's biases. He tells his followers how and what to think. Afterall, they are ditto-heads.
BobieLea 07/12/2004
WE ARE ALL SO SICK OF HIS COMMENTS AND WISH HE COULD UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE NOT STUPID....WE KNOW HE ONLY WAITS FOR A REPUBLICAN TO COME ON THE PHONE AND THAT IS WHY HE NO LONGER GETS CALLS. IN THREE HOURS, HE TAKES ABOUT ONE CALL AN HOUR...
bbutler76 07/01/2004
My opinion of Rush is what I imagine you republicans feel about Michael Moore. Rush is a right wing nut job who's opinions are so out of whack that they are almost funny; not quite though. He is a racist, egotistical drug addict who has little credibility. Here's a toast to you jackass. May you have fun with your pills and maybe your 4th marriage will work out better.
Flick01 06/24/2004
It seems all too typical of my friends on the other side of the aisle to accuse Rush Limbaugh of promoting hate, bigotry, etc and no one has yet to cite an example of anything Mr Limbaugh has said that would be considered hateful. Unlike Randi Rhodes he never advocated the shooting of persons he disagrees with and states that his disagreements are political and not of a personal nature. Leave it to the left to use personal attacks when they disagree with someone as it is much easier to call someone a racist or a Nazi rather than debate the issues. Mr Limbaugh has never advocated the killing or harm of any of his political opponents or competitive liberal talk show hosts. He has never said that anyone was inferior because or skin color, gender, or sexual preference. In the 15 years that I have been listening to Limbaugh I have not heard anything that could be considered hate speech. And while I'm at it... you want to talk about genuine hate speech? That seems to be exclusive territory for liberals and I'll be only too happy to cite some examples which can be easily checked and verified. I would like my liberal friends to imagine what would happen if a conservative had said the following about a Democrat or a liberal: When Charleton Heston was named head of the National Rifle Association Spike Lee said that he would like to Shoot him with a 44-caliber Bulldog revolver. Julianne Malveaux, radio host and USA Today columnist said of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early, as many black men do, of heart disease. When Ann Coulter wrote a non political column lamenting the lack of romance in Washington, liberal web magazine Salon suggested ways that she could improve her love life which included Quit injecting yourself with your own urine, Stop being a mean bitch, Buy a vibrator, Get your head out of your ass, and it urged her to tape a sign in her kitchen reading Men don't want to date castrating bitches, and this is not to mention the gross innuendos which I will not repeat in this forum. Of course there was that brilliant political analyst, Alec Baldwin who, on Conan O'Brian's program urged the audience to go to Sen Jesse Helms' house after the show and stone him and his family to death. Rush Limbaugh's disagreements are of a political nature and any parodies that he uses have never been mean spirited. Those of you who say that he spews hatred would increase (or establish) credibility if you could cite some examples. To call Rush Limbaugh's political point of view hate speech and then say nothing about the liberals who are genuinely guilty is hypocrisy of the highest order. Had Rush Limbaugh said any of the above comments about any Democrat or liberal there would have been hell to pay, but of course the above mentioned were given a free pass by the lapdogs in the mainstream media who march in lockstep with liberal causes even when they use hate speech to promote their agenda.

Not worth listening to,
asdl;fkj 06/21/2004
When listening or reading anything, remove emotion, be objective and intellectually honest. If you enter seeking an agenda, you'll complete the self-fulfilling prophesy. That's for Libs and Conservs alike. I check Rush's facts and scrutinize his opinions. He's sometimes difficult to swallow, but in the end, mostly correct, and that's why no one, even the mimicry, are even close.
ghalen 06/10/2004
He's #1 in the country. Need I say more.

Pathological lying scumbag ... I'm still waiting for him to tell the truth about anything. He's such a pig that I almost feel sorry for the coward. He's the uncle that you never invite to family events because he's such a selfish pretentios jerk. A whiny 8-year old boy trapped inside a right-wing bigot's body.

I'll offer a decade old story that says it all for me. In the early 90's when Clinton was President, the Bosnia horror was unfolding for all the world to see. Clinton was trying to get our European allies to take action with us to stop it. At that time, our allies were not willing to do anything about it, and Clinton would not act unilaterally. Rush took every opportunity to say that Clinton was failing as the leader of the free world by not sending American troops to the region (as combatants) to stop the carnage. Despite Rush's daily criticism, the Clinton Administration continued to pursue the diplomatic channels that ultimately led to the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords which ended the conflict. One of the provisions of the Accords was for the US to send a contingent of US military to Bosnia as a part of a multinational peace keeping force (IFOR) with the UN. Afterward, Rush continuously criticized Clinton for putting American troops in harm's way. I just don't understand that! How could Rush criticize Clinton for NOT putting American troops there as combatants (when their lives would have been in danger every day), and then later criticize him for putting troops there as peace keepers? Note: I believe that no American has died in Bosnia as a result of hostile action. I learned many things about Rush Limbaugh as a result of listening to him during that period. But one thing stands out in my mind: Rush obviously cared much more about scoring political points than he did about the lives of American soldiers.

After reading the inane, comments by the narrow-minded leftist about Rush, I decided I better add my two cents. I too hated Rush, but then, because I believed I was a truely tolerant liberal, open-minded enough to listen to anyones opinion without getting upset, or resorting to ad-hominiems, I began listeing to his show. What I found is an intelligent man, who contrary to what some commentators on this site have claimed, almost always know what he is talking about. Anyone who listens to this man with an open-mind, cannot help but come to the same conclusion. I also found that the most bigoted, and closed-minded people I know call themselves liberals. My advice to them is, practice what you preach; listen, and show tolerance for those who you don't agree with.

Don't Like It? Don't Listen! The Truth Always Hurts!

What can we say about Rush... he is the biggest hypocrate in Radio. This is one of the few people that I disagree with 90% of what he says.. but lets be fair, the show is interesting. It's kind of like listening to Aldof Hitler give a speech... eventhough you don't agree with anything he says and you believe the man is a total Psyco, you still what to know what he's going to say.
Woody831 04/12/2004
Just plain superior to everyone else out there
Bleh 04/07/2004
Rush say's, Do as I say, not as I do. A gutless ass-pimple with no integrity. That said, to deny his broadcasting/acting ability is unrealistic. He's very good at what he does. Then again, so was Goebbels.
DailyWeasel 04/06/2004

Wow, you people call Rush racist, homophobe, fruad, mean spirited, etc... Judging on some comments posted on this board, many of you need to lighten up. Your hatred towards diverse political opinions would point out the hypocricy of the left.
