10/23/2004 | love this new version. not as good as the original of course. but i like forrest whittaker & a lot of the stories are timely. especially the episode: shades of guilt. where this white guy refuses to help a black man who's the victim of a hate crime. he's beaten to death, the white guy feels bad but none of his friends agree with him. so the next day he wakes up BLACK. what a CLASSIC twilight zone moment! remember the original one where the jew hating guy finds himself a jewish man in nazi germany? i think vic morrow was in that one. i love the twilight zone no matter who's hosting as long as they try to keep it real. this new version honors the original with the same type of stories but for our contemporary times. i dont like all of the episodes but i didnt like all of Rod Serlings shows either. i usually frown on remakes but this one i embrace.

09/30/2003 | I must say it pales in comparison to the original show. With less sophisticated plot lines and a much worse ‘inquiring’ feel to it, this show will never go down in TV history. I highly recommend tuning the channel on this show, and finding one of the old ones to watch.

03/29/2003 | I thought that I would hate this show...there is nothing like the first and only...but this incarnation has grown on me. Forrest Whitaker is no Rod Serling, but he does a good enough job. Many of the stories have been better than expected (I liked the return of Bill Mumy and Chloris Leachman)...overall not bad!

01/17/2003 | I really do find Forest Whitaker to be simply amazing and creepy on this show. He makes the show almost worth watching. The sad part is that it isn't even comparable to the original. It's way too forced and sci-fi to get into, and there are too many plots involving the usual teens in trouble. Forrest is the only merit to the show, but boy does he make it look ok.

09/19/2002 | I was always a fan of the original Twilight Zone. So I wanted to at least give the new updated a try. I found that so far I like the new version. each episode is introduced by Forrest Whitaker. Each show has two episodes. The new version seems to try to stay with the original version where you are introduced to characters and try to guess what the outcome will be by the end of the show. Like the original it appears that this show offers the ironic twists like the original. and the possible surprise endings. One of the episodes had Jason Alexander as "death" a pretty good episode, I think it will be fun to tune in to see what guest stars they have each week. I hope the viewers at least gives this show a chance. I think it has the potential to be a good show.
