In all fairness, I haven't used netscape in quite awhile. I used to go to a school that required netscape for many things, and I must say that it was kind of awkward and not very easy to use.

two words: old school.

One of the most reliable and stable browser. Not as fast as Firefox, but if you don't use it for fast searches or browsing, it's the ideal browser.

I really like the features & the layout BUT it`s slowish compared to the Fox & OPERA,,,,,,,,BUT the big problem i had with it was the instability...totally unacceptable in that regard....Netscape came close but stuffed it up in the end

When I first started using the net, Netscape had the market locked. When it was purchased by AOL it started to go down the tubes and the slide seems to never end. For better or worse Internet Explorer is the closest to a standard browser today, and that is why most of us use it.

I'm currently using version 8.0.4 and it is much more stable than the last version, I like how it can give you the choice for only using the Mozilla rendering engine but you can have it switch to the IE engine on "trusted sites". The passcard feature is very useful for autofilling passwords and forms, I also like the new skin support though only a few are available at the moment. It's not perfect though, I've had a few crashes but it's rare. For novice users who want more security than IE offers it's great but for us more advanced users Firefox is still the best choice.

What a colossal waste of time. Takes forever to download and install (even with a broadband connection), and does nothing any better than IE. Why is this still around anyhow?

This is one of the 1st browsers on earth and I love it !, I would use this instead of IE or MSN.

Too slow compared to Mozilla and IE. Spead up the engine, and Netscape might have a competitor again.

Netscape has been poorly implementing DOM, JavaScript, CSS, and even HTML for a long time now. Its incompatibility with W3 standards causes tonnes of frustration for web developpers. Finally, its implementation of tables is awful. All this in addition to being bulky and overloaded with 'features'. IE and Firefox blow it out of the water

THE MOST POWERFUL BROWSER EVER! the options are 10 fold more than internet explorer.... like pop-up blockers... seprate tabs to open new pages instead of having alot of seperate windows open.... that really helps free RAM... and it loads pages much faster, has better auto fill in for forms (this is a form! :P LOL I know you know this is!! ) it will remember passwords at alot of sites that IE wont even touch! plus.. it has better email program netspcape mail.. that does more than even outlook does! ok,,, this review can go on for days and this will probably be my last.... take care........
