A great song that reminds of all the divas of the disco era. ABBA is by far one of the best bands to ever come out of the 70's...their music has touched millions of people, and is still doing so.

Dancing Queen is so inescapable that the song has become part of the human experience, a common frame of reference for every generation. Released on ABBA's fourth full-length effort Arrival in 1977, the single grabbed the public's attention due to catchy hooks and lush vocals, yet the true magic of the song are the classically influenced strings and keyboards that aren't usually appreciated until one revisits the song as a more mature and discriminating listener. Being practically immortal, the song has been covered countless times, including by CoCo Lee, Björn Again, Issa, THC, Kylie Minogue, Sixpence None The Richer, Luka Bloom, Carol Douglas, and (unfortunately) Jennifer Love Hewitt, not too mention the infinite number of ABBA tribute acts. Dancing Queen charted in the U.S. for 15 weeks in 1977, peaking at #1.
