This song is fun, even infectious. I recall enjoying its use in the film "Miriam's Wedding."

After finishing third in the Eurovision contest in 1973 with Ring Ring, ABBA tried again the following with Waterloo, the song that started the group on the road to stardom (or some would say infamy). Subsequently released in 1974 on the full-length effort by the same name, the single established the soon to be classic and infectious sound of the group. The song is bouncy, fun and inescapable as Agnetha and Frida sing about meeting their romantic Waterloo. As one of ABBA's signature songs, there have been countless covers and interpretations, including those by Gar Tesca, Motor Industries, Bananarama, and Tiny T. Waterloo charted in the U.S. for 12 weeks in 1974, peaking at #6.
