I have a tattoo of a rose on my calf. The tattoo artist warned me that when it grew it would distort the ink but I told him not to worry because by then it would be slaughtered for steaks. I don't know why I am into puns today, they ain't even punny.

Roses seem to naturally come out on top in the world of flowers -- probably the most beautiful one there is. And they smell really nice, too.

Types of flowers matter when it comes to making just the right impression. Each type of flower carries a different tone. Roses, for example, mean something very different from dandelions. No matter how pretty a flower your dandelion may be, your mother won’t react quite the same as she will to a rose. While that may be oversimplified, the point is this: you have to know your flowers.Gardeners know that different types of flowers require different types of care. You wouldn’t water some flowers nearly as much as you water others; in fact, some flowers might hint in their name or appearance how to grow them the way you want. Even those flowers that do, however, still need a gardener’s touch. None of all the types of flowers will do much on its own for very long. Gardeners always try to grow their expertise as much as they grow their flowers, and this site is made to help.Lovers know more than anyone the need for a working knowledge of all types of flowers. Roses solve lots of problems (and prevent even more), but other flowers can add a little flavor to your use of different types. We met a young man whose mother grew different types of flowers in the backyard. These breeds of flowers ranged mostly through different types of roses, but she also had irises, daffodils, and a number of others. That boy had the luckiest girlfriend in town. Mom had no problem with him snipping a few flowers whenever needed (after asking permission, of course); not only was his girlfriend sure to get roses exactly when she needed a little cheering up, but the other types of flowers played perfectly into their love. Spring dictated one type of flower, autumn another, and even when winter came and went with no flowers available, the roses came out early. By knowing which types of flowers were available when, these lovers were able to do what you can do after visiting this site. Know the flowers, love the flowers, and use the flowers.

A great decision for our government (and even New York's) to make the rose as the national fower. Sure, pick it without glove and you will get nasty thorns, but not only it represents defense, it is also for love (as it always is.) This one will keep budding if taken good care, and it is something to cherish the most from a loved one. Though there are yellow, pink and white roses, they should be held in high regard as much as the red ones do. If you see a group of them in the wild next time you're in the air, cogitate about the first thing that comes to mind when you see them- they represent everything that's nice.

I love these flowers. I do not have what some may consider a ‘green thumb’ however, I can grow these with ease. I have several different varieties and really pay little attention to them because they seem to pretty much take care of themselves. Once a year I might go out and sprinkle them with some rose food and I usually make sure they get plenty of water through the summer, but otherwise, I don’t do anything to them. I have roses blooming right now as matter of fact, and I enjoy them. The reason they grow so well here, I am told, is because they love the Georgia red clay soil. They must, because they’re certainly doing well for the tenth year in a row. They are also fun to dry and make arrangements out of, I have one pressed in a picture frame with my daughter sitting on my desk. I’ve seen other crafts made with them and think they are lovely.

Overrated and too much work, especially up in the north when special care must be taken to keep the plants from freezing to death. There are veritable forests of wild pink roses growing along the trails near my home and with all their lush greenery and dazzling pink bloom, they have my approval any day. Plus, they don't need constant attention.

oh i love flowers! call me ordinary but im so in love with roses...NOTE TO ALL MALES:all of us female creatures are. girls love flowers for different reasons and some have a favorite color do to the different meanings of each color...the classic color red is love and respect, pink is grace and beauty, white is innocence and purity, and theres yellow which means thankfulness and friendship. my personal favorite is yellow. i dont know, its the color, its just oh so happy and wonderful. sure they die, but they brighten up the room and my mood. love them.

People have done a lot of remarkable things with these flowers with some undeniably fascinating and beautiful results. Still, if I were to select my favorite type of rose I would cast my vote for wild roses rambling through the countryside. There’s just something about flowers or almost anything else that makes them more appealing when they are left to grow and develop on their own. They may not have the same feeling of perfection but they retain a certain dignity and appeal by being left to flourish on their own terms.

Pretty, comes in so many colors, a sweet little gift for a loved one. May be a bit overrated, comes with thorns, a little overused in the romance department. Tip: If you're giving flowers to a girl on the first date, try A) a single, long-stemmed rose, or B) a bouquet of flowers that are not as traditional as the rose, like wildflowers. Unless she's high-maintenance, I think a lot of girls would appreciate the thoughtfulness and sincerity of a unique bouquet rather than the usual, typical store-bought roses. Tip: Hanging roses to dry will make them last a VERY long time in proper conditions. I have roses back from seven years ago that are still doing good.

Roses are my favorite flower. They're so beautiful and smell so lovely. I remember playing in my Nana's rose garden as a child. It was so fun at her house. Roses remind me of the god times I had with her. I miss her.

Roses are overrated. Besides being prissy, roses can have a fragrance that is overpowering and often sickly sweet. Growing roses is a difficult task, requiring all kinds of regular maintenance and special treatments. When selecting plants to grow or for a bouquet, I steer clear of roses.

The Symbolic flower of love. You can't go wrong with roses. My girlfriend and mother absolutely love them!
