Samson is often compared with Hercules of the Greek. He had enormous strength, even to the point of single handedly defeating whole armies with a donkey's jawbone as weapon. Betrayed by Delilah, Samson becomes prisoner of the Philistines but eventually, he repents for his disobedience of God and performs a spectacular act of revenge by destroying the building where the Philistines were gathered and killing them all.
