The only people that don't like them have never actually tried them. They're comfortable, you don't have to keep pulling them up when they sag getting out of the water, they don't float up around you full of bubbles when you get in the water or sit in a hot tub, you don't have bare white thighs and knees while the rest of your body has a nice tan, and you don't look like a clown wearing dork shorts (all foreigners call American swimwear that).

Baggy clothes on any body are just that....baggy clothes. And that goes for speedos, bikinis or thongs. If you have a great body then of course your are going to look good in somthing that shows off your body. Thos that object, object to the fact that they are in all likelyhood out of shape and would look bad. If they had a good body they would want to wear clothes that accentuate their body...Speedos, bikinis and thongs do just that. Its just a matter of turning off the game, getting off the couch, getting to the gym and showing some pride in taking care of your body! Women like hot bodies in hot clothes too! nuf said

On a muscular guy, speedos look hot. And I don't see how any red-blooded woman could think otherwise. The problem is, here in the U.S., the guys who wear speedos are many times the ones who shouldn't. I have vacationed many times in Europe where the younger/fitter guys are the ones who tend to wear speedos, and it is very sexy indeed. Also, I just think american culture is heading backward to the stone ages, women are being brainwashed into wearing skimpier clothing while men can get away with wearing sack clothing that hides everything. All guys have to do now to look good is to work on their biceps -- that's all we see. Women have to work on everything, because of the current clothing styles.

I agree with minkeydude, they are very comfortable. People need to stop worring about what people look like and worry about the type of person they are. If we all did this they we would not need extreme makeovers shows.

I tend to agree with Andrea and think these are pretty cool. If you go to other countries they are commonplace; here there seems to be a stigma about them. If a guy wears one in the States (and typically he is European), you'll catch a few people snickering. I've worn one during swim meets and they are very comfortable but you must be warned: that involuntary woody now becomes slightly more embarassing.

I agree completely with kamylienne. In fact, when I see a guy in a Speedo it's all I can do to keep from laughing. Not to mention, they look so darned uncomfortable!

. . . just my opinion, but I don't think ANY guy, no matter how fit, how attractive he is, looks good in a thong! Normal swim trunks are cuter. But, that's just in my opinion.
