Not a jerk. Seems like ESPN has brainwashed some of us to make believe he is a jerk. Just an extraordinary competitor. He keeps himself well conditioned, dilligently works on his deft hands for hours a day. Maybe Moss has better raw talent, but T.O. has worked to make himself the best receiver in all of football. His antics are harmless. He even said such when he alluded that his antics never hurt anyone, while his arch-enemy, Ray Lewis seems to leave a trail of dead bodies (allegedly) wherever he goes. Owens poetically said, If you don't like my end zone celebrations, then keep me out of the damn end zone. You want a jerk, Look at that thug cretin Roy Williams of the stinkin' Cowboys, who has developed this overaggressive tackling technique that has laid out 3 receivers (including Owens) this season.

TO is awesome. I love him! He can talk all his trash becasue he is THAT good. He backs it up on the field.

I don't hate TO...don't even know him. I would appreciate him keeping his mouth shut and leaving the juvenile ego eruptions in the locker room.

If there was an award for the biggest jerk in pro sports, Terrel Owens would be the recipient. He represents the lowest form of humanity and doesn't deserve to share the playing field with PROFESSIONAL players. Not only is he a homophobe, but he is a big mouthed, egotistical weasel too. Any other players personal sexual lives are just that, PERSONAL and he has absolutely no right to entertain his opinions in a public forum. Shame on him. Certainly there are special places in hell for men of his character. Incidentally, I love football and I am a heterosexual married woman.

he's a jerk, but he's a damn good jerk. he's the new prototype for WR of new generation (wellbuilt, strong, fast, good hands). he strongly shows competitiveness to win, to entertain, he just need to have a better RESPECT to others. I know NFL is a business, he might worth MILLIONS now, but in 3-4 years he could worth CENTS if he don't improve his respect to the league or others

Terrel Owens is a great reciever. He needs to grow up as a team-mate. But he's got a right to speak his mind in the locker room and in the coaches ear because he helps to win games and wants to win badly. His antics on the field are very fun to watch and make the game exciting. He knows waht it means to be an athlete/entertainer. As a 49er fan I was sad to see him go because i know there is no better play-maker in the game. Jerry Rice used to pout and whine and everybody said it was OK because it was Jerry. Well T.O. is the next Jerry, just wait and see.

Who does this guy think he is? The real shame is kids look up to him and think his antics (lack of sportsmanship/ humility, bad-mouthing teammates and coaches) are acceptable and cool. Great player, plays hard, but not a good teammate. Cancer anywhere he will go.

Owens is quick to criticize others, but does not recognize his own mistakes. His animosity towards his own team can only undermine morale.Futhermore, his disrespectful displays are an embarrassment to the 49ers and to professional athletics.

Epitome of the me-first, money-grubbing, attention-starved, prima-donna athlete who puts himself instead of the team. T.O. will bitch, S.F. will not pay him free agent money, and T.O. will go to another team to complain about. Free Agent wide recievers rarely make the difference for Super Bowl champs. T.O. will never be on a winner until he cares about the team as much as himself.
