Another stupid category. Folks you shouldn't believe every damn thing the media says. Sure there's truth to certain parts, but it depends on WHAT parts. As for MJ, yes I think he can be taken seriously as he is a misunderstood genius.

I wonder if the crazy thing is an act and he just likes to screw with people...
HistoryFan 02/12/2006
He has as much credibility as a bag of bricks.

You can draw an analogy between this freak show and a caged orangutan. The orangutan grows up in an abnormal, captive environment. It needs stimulus, so some crafty zoo keepers throw a soft toy in to entertain. The orangutan relates to this toy and even tries to mate with it. We all sit back, enjoy gazing at the orangutan for a day. Of course, this is a twisted orangutan, trying to transform it's face to a seagull. Do I enjoy real orangutans? Yes. Do I feel sorry for or can I take seriously Michael Jackson? No.

Used to be able to take him seriously, when he was famous for his music, but now, he's more famous for his numerous court appearences than for his singing.

How seriously can you really take him? Bottom line, I think that he is a very troubled man. The sad truth of the matter is that if Michael Jackson were any other 46 year old man with a history of drug and alcohol abuse, who displays pornography to minors, and acts generally irresponsibly around these same kids, he would probably be institutionalized. But we live in a society were Jackson is much too famous (and so weird that he's entertaining to many) to be treated for his mental illnesses and strange obsessions. The only treatment he receives involves occasionally rushing out of his luxury car into a hospital, where he hides out until the next time he wants the media to focus in on him. And the media will focus on him, for the 24-7 cable news channels are made for stories like this one, even if it involves a faded pop star who considers himself royalty. Jackson needs the adulation of the crowd. In fact, in order to get attention, he will dangle his 4 month old son from a balcony or dance on the hood of his car on the way in to his arraignment hearing on child molestation charges. Such narcissism has to be clinical in nature. No matter what else his trial will prove, we now know that Jackson evades responsibility and reality--in fact, his strategy all along has been to bask in his own sense of victim-hood. And many times it acts as a way to deflect attention from other things. Remember the day he showed up to court wearing his pajamas, complaining of back pain. That was also the same day that one of his accusers was testifying against Jackson. He constantly accuses his enemies of conspiring against them; he even paid thousands of dollars to put a voodoo curse on the head prosecutor in his case. He believes that the charges being leveled against him are related to his enemies wanting to get a hold of his large catalog of Beatles songs. Such musings show that he fails to grasp the true gravity of the situation and his failure to take responsibility for his own actions. The final irony of the whole situation is that Jackson might actually become more famous if he's found guilty, as our society today no longer makes any distinction between fame and infamy. We're now treating celebrities more like sovereigns rather than normal citizens, and that's clearly unjust.

This man is mentally ill and if he did half of what he's accused of he should be locked up.

A real sad case! How can anyone take this big hot mess serious? He mutilated his face, he dangled his baby over a balcony, he carried around that annoying little twerp Webster, he wears ugly wigs with a Patty Duke flip, his clothing is stuck in an ugly 1980's time warp (along with any new music he attempts to make), calls himself Peter Pan, married Lisa Marie Presley, & he's an alleged CHILD MOLESTER!!!
Sundiszno 04/13/2004
Does not exhibit much, if any, maturity at all. It's difficult to take someone who acts like a pre-teenager seriously.
DaRick 04/13/2004
Well, he went from the King of Pop in the 80's and gradually became a white apeish freak from there, except even ape's don't seem to have a certain fondness for young, unsuspecting children, especially boys. They call him Wacko Jacko for a reason.
zuchinibut 12/27/2003
Bottom line is he calls his child Blanket. Nobody who does that could be taken seriously ever.
RebelYell1861 12/27/2003
Lock his sick ass up and throw away the key. He hasn't been worth anything since the 80s.
jgls 12/27/2003
i will give him a five if he survives the daily beatings and sexual assaults he will endure in prison.
mikeholly93 11/26/2003
Michael Jackson has sure declined in the past 10 years. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he was one of the best singers ever. Now, he is an ugly person whose face looks like a chimpanzee's. He is also a child abuser who dangled his baby above a balcony railing and makes his kids wear ugly masks. He is also a child molester who molested a 13-year old kid 10 years ago and had been recently arrested for molesting a 12-year old boy at his Neverland (actually Pedophileland) Ranch.
forgotten hero 11/11/2003
I feel bad for the guy. He was on top of the world for years and then he gradually became some freakish recluse with a fondness for young boys.
If the shoe fits 08/31/2003
From the king of pop, to, well, sorry dude.
CastleBee 08/31/2003
So lost in La La land he will probably never return. In some ways he's so bizarre he defies description. I'm not sure Rice, King or Koontz working as a team could come up with something this odd.
LadyShark4534 08/31/2003
Since when are we supposed to take a fake plastic pop star seriously?
princessangry 08/30/2003
Fake!
Redoedo 08/29/2003
This man (?) has gone from being a talented musician to a complete freak. He has destroyed his reputation gradually by getting numerous plastic surgery operations and not to mention being a pedophile. I just cannot look at Michael Jackson anymore without laughing. He's a joke.
