Consumer Reports 1

At first I was amazed at the overwhelming information they gave. However as the years went by, I realized that they are not the "experts" they appear to be. As a semi-pro photographer I was stunned at their camera and video camera ratings. They were telling half truths and giving credit to features that were irrelevant. They were knocking perfectly good equipment for extremely minor (if at all) flaws. I was a subscriber for many years and that made me think that maybe they don't know much at all about anything. I now use Epinions.com as source of direct consumer information. I also saved some coin too.

A great magazine. No hype, no gloss just straight honest product reviews. The buying guide book that comes with your subscription is handy.

An excellent magazine. I depend on them to cut through the hype and the image and all the slick advertising to tell it like it is. Right now I'm shopping for a new car, and what you learn from CR is somewhat different than what you would believe to be true from TV ads.

The best, most fair consumer ratings service that exists. This magazine is obsessive about never blurring the line between endorsement and sponsorship. Worth every penny.

Unlike Consumer Reports, which actually tests products that they rate and does a fair evaluation, Consumers Digest makes their money from advertisers and licensing fees. Even YOU can get a Best Buy award if you will pay the $35,000 a year to use their logo and their name. This magazine is a sham and disgraces the others who do a good job of providing unbias information.

I love getting the best value for my buck, and knowing exactly which product purchase is likely to be the most reliable and satisfying. I often follow their choices and end up pleased with my purchase every time. The subscription has paid for itself over and over by keeping me from wasting money on junkier purchases. I also get the peace of mind supporting companies who know how to deliver the best quality and value to the public who don't leave the public with high-maintennance repairs.

Though I am only 13, I scan this magazine cover to cover.I don't always agree, but that's life, ya know? My car obsession got me into reading it long hours. I enjoy it.
