This is really a crisis, no matter what the government says. They pose a great threat only to our soldiers in South Korea. None of thier missiles could reach us, so Im not that worried. I dont really care about protecting South Korea- about 85% of thier population hates us. We should either put soldiers in the area and blow up the reacter, or just take all of our guys out of there. We should NOT sign any non aggresion pact with these communist bastards- it'll show that we are a weak nation who DOES negotiate with terrorists.

When the dust is somewhat settled in Iraq, North Korea is next. Also, the U.S. will make sure that the UN will pick up their own ball on this one. many feel that North Korea should be dealt with before Iraq. yet, most of those same people want the US to go all alone on it.

Of far greater consequence than Saddam's problematic "weapons of mass destruction," and a much greater danger to world peace and stability. Is anyone in the White House paying attention?

A very close eye should be kept on North Korea. They have been extremely blantant about their nukes. They are making more as we speak. Scary!

WHAT ARE WE DOING?!!!! We have on one hand a economically and militarily destroyed Iraq, that may or may not have chemical weapons, and even if it did would not give them to terrorists. Iraq doesn't even have the capabilities to attack America, so we are going to attack it first? I'm interested in the safety of my country and I really wish someone could tell me how attacking Iraq makes it better, not worse. On the other hand we have North Korea, a military powerhouse with a standing army of a million. Another major difference is THEY HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!!! They don't deny it, they flaunt it. While I certainly don't support a war against North Korea, I do believe that it is the most pressing matter facing us and the one with the greatest ability to actually harm Americans.

If this weren't so scary, it would be pretty damn funny. Here we are going to great lengths to try and appear legitimate in our pending pre-emptive war against Iraq - going through the UN; looking for elusive weapons that we know are there, but can't seem to find; couching our pending invasion as a way to keep Saddam from developing weapons of mass destruction and destabilizing the world. Then, out of nowhere, along comes North Korea and tells us right to our face that they ARE developing weapons of mass destruction, and they will "burn in the fires of hell" any country that tries to tell them what to do. It couldn't have been worse timing for the Bush administration, and it couldn't have been better timing for Saddam. What North Korea has done is expose our harrassment of Iraq as what it really is 1) An opportunity to take out an undeniably bad guy, and in the process gain access to tremendous oil reserves 2) A chance for Bush to take decisive action against an undeniably bad guy, as Osama is proving so difficult to track down 3) A chance for Bush to go after the man who tried to kill his dad. I have two primary problems with our plans to attack Iraq. First, our economy is still sucking. The uncertainty over the war is just not allowing things to rebound, and I don't understand why Bush is spending 95% of his time on Saddam, and 5% of his time on our economy. The second problem that I have is that pre-emptive war is really, really hard to justify. Ever. It sets a horrible, destabilizing precedent, and it's not something I can support. So, what has North Korea done by telling us to our face that they are building bombs? They will force us to call a spade a spade, and eventually come clean as to why we are really going after Iraq.
