it is not only described by muslim scholar but scholars of all faith describe the muhammad as most influential people.

He is the peson who is been followed sincerly throught the globe.

Muhammad (pbuh) changed an area of Nomads, and uneducated peoples to the most highly respected centres of knowledge that ever existed. And now, that area is one of the richest and most developed areas in the world (you can't say its because of natural resources because Africa has more natural resources and it's in a much worse state). And he did it during his lifetime! And he did not do it through someone else writing a book about him, he did it through the help of God, and himself. Noone else can boast of that. Noone. 100 years after his death, all between the coastal regions of Spain, to the Islands of the Philippines knew who he was.

I read most of the review, most came from personal opinions and unprofessional thoughts (not even one academic statement) Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him, is rated the most influential person in history by Michael Hart (Book: 100 most influential peoples) this an academic review. The best way find out about anything is to look for verified information which are carried out by universities them self, not to grab someone on street ask his opinion. For example if you sick you wont ask your neighbour for help you instead seek advice from a doctor.

Influential, yes, however NOT in a posative way. muhammad was one of the false prophets Jesus warned about in the bilbe. Anyone educated in truth can easily look past this false truth taught by mahummad. If you do your research on muhammad and the source of his aquiring of knowledge, muhammad claims to be visited by "an angel of light" or "gabriel", however the only time this interaction takes place is when muhammad makes his journey to the mountain (he made this journey several times) and attemps to kill himself... why did muhammad have to be in a state of depression, anger, or any other negative characteristic that would push a person to kill themselves in order to interact with the "angel of light"? are those characteristics not contrary to being spirit led? and don't they relate more to the characteristics of the sinful nature? To be led by sinful nature is to be led by what is contrary to god, which in turn is to be led by who? or what? ..... what or who is the opposite of god? If my words aren't believed than i would ask the reader to ask themselves these questions, do their own research and not to just go by my own word. research muhammad's past as well as his interaction with this "angel of light" and uncover the real truth for yourself. [2 Corinthians 11:14: "...., for SAtan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."]
some may not believe the bible however within the bible is the answer to any question that any person could have and can be used in any situation to satisfy every man's desire for love and acceptance (whether they will admit it or not, that's what we all desire).....Try it.

christianity was more widely acknowledged after Jesus....which was mainly through st.paul...but Muhammad(PBUH) made impact on the world in his life time....and excelled in all the areas...so it is not justified to put him below Jesus...m speakin from a secular point of view with all due respect to everybody..if any one got doubts should do some effort to go through the facts but not the propogandas..

Influential, yes. But not in a good way.

I am really shocked to see some of the reviews here..Its just so disturbing to see how ignorant we the ordinary people who use internet for porn and fun have become. Not only ignorant but so in-considerate at all. First of all that is because we come up with acidic comments that are far far away from the reality and based on no facts at all just like the media misinformation these days. Secondely so upsetting that one might not come up with that in the most intoxicated state. I would really suggest for the people who speak against Muhammad in an insulting way is to go and read his teachings .. NOT TO WATCH FOX NEWS or ABC but to read the neutral world historians as well.. It also shows those commentators judgement about the things around the world.. Had Muhammad been the most wrong person in the history He would not be able to win over the hearts of the most filthy people on the face of earth in that age 1400 years ago not only that 1.5 billions Muslims ( according to adherents.com) on the face of the earth. Do all of these commentators think they are right and have better judgement of things than the 1.5 billions people around the world. And then before upsetting 1.5 billion people all around the world with their comments they should think just once how many hearts they are hurting with that.. Muslims in their each and every literature , speech or book never dis respect not a single Prophet in all of the times.. Hope that helps those help needed people ...

He married a 9 year old girl and his step sons wife!  He was full of sin and a murderer, if you don't believe me, read the Koran, it's in there.  No prophet in history was sinless except for Jesus Christ...I'm not saying that because I'm Christian, it's says it in their "holy" book, go ahead and read it.

Hitler and Mussolini were essentially caught and killed on the spot for Fascist killing in the same manner as Bin Laden; his day will come too... I just wish his day would be soon. There is no difference between Mein Kampf and The Koran with Mohammed's words. When I see Muslims standing up and speaking out publicly against Jihadd and Bin Laden's "The Base" and monstrous killings of children, women of any religion and the innocent maybe Mohammed's words will stand up and out again.

I have also thought about his influence and changed my rating to a 5! Very influental to billions of followers. Very few good things and many negative things! Very peaceful???

Take him and fetter him and expose him to hell fire. And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits. (Koran 69:30-37)

If the Christian Right were like the Taliban (as many say) there would be no Islam, it would be ran out of this country as Chrisitianity is in Muslim countries. There would be no religious freedoms as all enjoy in this country, including atheism!! Those who reject Christ would be slaughtered!!! Women would have no rights!!!
