Not bad but very overrated. . .I ordered it in grad school to try to impress women in hopes of proving I wasn't a bud light idiot.

sets the standard for all other beers to follow....others may be more unique but this is simply beer in it's purest and most god-like form...so smooth it slides down the throat like bitter honey

I tried this beer when I was in NY, and it def ranks up there with my all-time favorite beers. Make sure you get it on tap and not from the can. STELLLLA!

Without the the clever and sometimes funny ads I bet mass produced lagers wouldnt shift units the way they do, and Stella is about the most hyped up of all. Way inferior to Czech brands like Pilsner Urquell and Budvar and marginally better than tasteless p*ss like Carling.

My old standby. Good overall lager. Mild flavour with slight bitter finish. Nothing special though. Definitely better on tap. Higher alcohol content than most.

After hearing all the hype, I tried several Stellas throughout several days of traveling in England and France. I was sorely disappointed. This is among the most over-rated beers around. It's on par with most mass produced American beer - and not as good as most.

I like this beer but feel it's overrated. I used to drink a good deal of it when I lived in Europe, and my experience there was people tended to consider this a commonplace brew, nothing special. Perhaps they were right. I wouldn't turn down a bottle of this, if offered, however...

What a shame this is what Interbrew is pushing in North America... there are so many, so much more exceptional beers (also in the Interbrew stable). Stella is practically American, relatively speaking. Still... Americans... baaaa-baaaa.

The cleanest purest pilsner beer I've ever tried. Watch out though because it's strong!
Spongemonger 04/22/2003
I used to drink this piss all the time. It makes me wretch and hurts my head.
The CopterDoctor 04/18/2003
I have been drinking Stella for 12 years now and i have never found anything better!!!! Being in the forces i dont know anyone that doesnt like it! Even my girlfriend now recognises the taste between lagers and wont have anything apart from Stella!! It never seems to make you that ill that you never want to touch it again like some drinks. Someone that thinks Stella tastes like piss is someone that says 'strong lager' when the barman asks what lager they want!!!!! NOTHING BETTER IN THE WORLD!!!! ( ive done 33 countries so tried a few beers!!!)

Well known in the UK as Nelson, Winnie & Wife Beater. One of the better mass produced beers

It doesn't taste that great out of a can on Air France. I would like to try it in France or Belgium, then re-rate it.

In England this past summer I made a deal with myself that I'd try a different beer each time I got one. That same day I tried Stella for the first time and it's what I got for the remainder of the trip. It could be my favorite beer.

I prefer having a pint of this compared to Fosters (yes boys, I'm a girl who drinks pints of beer) It has a plesant aftertaste and I can certainly get a few of these down without feeling too rough at the end of it. Fortunately I have easy access to this here in London.

Horrible. Tastes like race-horse p*ss. And yes, I have drunk more than enough of it. I'm not a big fan of lager, but Stella achieves a new low in taste compared to other brands.

Very good beer if you wanna easy down on the alcohol, but i still prefer Hoegaarden, a great pale ale (coincidentally also Belgian ;-) ).
Joey is the man 02/25/2002
Drink this beer and you become the man!!

I hope that those who rate this beer have truly tried Stella Artois (I noticed that there is one "terrible" and I truly think that's impossible - people should not vote if they haven't even tired the product). Stella puts most other beers to shame and truly ranks up there as one of the Top Five on this planet.
What Me Worry? 06/02/2001
What a shame this beer is so hard to get outside of Northwest Europe!

Yeah baby yeah

Absolutely, positively incredible
Santander Summers 05/26/2001
Unfortunately this beer is hard to find in the States, but drinking one is liking a clinic on how beer should taste and feel.....aaahhhh those Santander summers.
Captain Lou 05/25/2001
I've travelled around the entire world and the only beer in the same category as Stella is Urquell. This beer is sold everywhere in France, Belgium and Holland and it really is the way beer should be.
