02/17/2006 | And what a conspicuous time-gobbler it is! Beats falling asleep on the couch during BENNY HILL reruns after devouring a gristly dinner of salisbury steak and tater tots. I get to indulge my particular kinks and quirks in a venue that's camaraderous ("way to go!"), spiteful ("you suck!"), and aloof ("who cares?"), all at the same time! WAY better than writing op-ed snippets in local papers, where the miniscule feedback is slo-mo and predictable. The site pulls up limping from ideological favoritism at times (doesn't it, Lawrence?), but it's still an amusing vehicle that takes the braggadocio and the wallflower to the same dance. UPDATE: Upon review of the replay, my "ideological favoritism" call has been reversed, suspiciously said in haste despite knowledge of a change in the site's listing arrangements. In summation, it was just my 'magination (running away with me).

05/23/2005 | i have alot of things going on in my life some of them extremely unpleasant and being here helps keep my mind off some other things. thats why i spend so much time here right now. i dont sleep very well any more and it gives me something to do. as time goes on i hope that you'll all be seeing less of me not cuz i dont like it here but cuz ive started to get on with my life

12/05/2004 | RIA is a good way to get my mind off other more pressing matters in my life. It's a good place to blow off some steam every now and then. Also it helps me sharpen my writing skills--the sheer amount of items that can be rated on here permits me to put together my ideas cogently. Of course, many days I simply don't have the time to visit the site; especially the next few. With finals, term papers, and work-related issues, I'm facing a heavy load. I'll be around, but not as often. In 2 weeks, I'm going to write a series of comments I've been holding off on. When you have a lot of stress it's kind of tough to write something interesting. Better to visit when there's time available.

07/21/2004 | Yeah, I like killing time here. Often after school, when I have nothing else to do, I come on here and write a few opinions. It saves me being transfixed by the TV or gaining weight on the recliner.

02/21/2004 | To a degree. I do visit RATEITAll as one of my favorites on the internet. It does help kill time and beats watching tv or eating too much, or spending money. And I like RATEITALL. It is fun to see what other people have to say on so many topics.

02/21/2004 | I visit Rateitall for entertainment: for a few minutes now and again when I am at work, to get my mind off whatever the crisis of the day is; for an hour sometimes in the evening, when I am relaxing and in the mood to write; and any other time I happen to be near a computer and feel like being amused by the many interesting writers, microscopic controversies and sputtering flame-wars that happen to be on at the time. So yeah, kill some time, in a pleasant way.

02/21/2004 | Not always. Most of the time I write only when I'm in the mood to write. Sometimes I enjoy writing long comments, others I just don't care. But sometimes I do come here just to check out whats new and changes that have happened. Ive been kind of silent lately, although I'll more making more of an appearance.

11/28/2003 | Without anything interesting to read or comment on, RateItAll would be a poor place to kill time so this must rate a close second to reading and posting. However, writing a relatively quick comment is a great time killer when waiting for the television show or movie to start, that slow webpage to load, your girlfriend to get dressed, etc.
