Acropolis Steakhouse

The Acropolis is worth the trip. The food and beer are really good prices. The ribs aren't that great, but they are cheap. The girls are typical of Portland strip clubs. Not fantastic but pretty good. Go before 5:30 to avoid the cover charge.

From some of the other posts I was expecting the steaks to be poor quality, but they are good...about equal in quality to the big steak chain places, and way better than the steaks offered at the big chain non-steak house places. The price, of course, is way lower. The beer is not rip off priced. The girls are not amazing - but none of them were ugly. There is a real blue collar vibe here.

The guy who owns this place and I'm pretty sure still does, also raises beef. And it's good. You can get one of the most outstanding steak...

If they would go by the book and clean the kitchen once in a while and clean out a container before putting new food in it. I would love it because they are one of the only places left around that serve gyro's with the real meat.. Too bad they dont take better care of there food because it is good food, it 's just the neglect of what the cooks do to it after the owner brings it in..The service is horrible all the waitress are always getting high or drunk and dont come around or check back with you. What happen to the good old days when the old main crew used to work there about 10 years ago.. Those were the day when you got the best service the best food and the best looking dancers that actually put on a show and danced!!!

I have been to alot of strip clubs and was a dancer back in back in the day. I can't call these girls dancers. Some of them are very pretty and one has the greatest butt I have ever seen, but all she did was walk around flexing her butt cheeks and spanking herself. I really would have liked to see the girls dance but the 3 or 4 we saw while there never took to the pole even once. Too bad. If you are an older asian man or a college student you will like this place. If you want to see girls with real breasts that actually dance, go on down the road. But don't stop at blush!

are you kidding me? this is a highly rated place? are the owners writing these things? OK, so maybe if your out with college buddies, while in college, and don't have that much money to spend on a slab of "almost" food while looking at some bad b**b jobs, and don't mind getting your own drinks and cleaning off a place to sit from the pile of cheese fries that almost made it into someones mouth.... than this is the place for you. I was there 20 minutes and wasn't even able to get a drink at the bar the line was so long, much less anything else enjoyable. if you want comfortable place to sit, semi clean, a place that brings you a drink etc... well, look elsewhere else, and save the gas money to tip the dancers

If you're looking for exceptional American cuisine and a huge selection of beers on tap and exceptionally beautiful and athletic stripper chicks, then this is definitely the spot. The Acrop has the best steaks in town at the best prices, too! Can you believe it? They serve beef that is of a much higher quality than the beef served in every one of Portland's high-class dining establishments in the downtown area; I've been to all them. And they charge next to nothing for these delicious steaks. There's also an actual salad bar for those that are concerned about longevity and preserving their health--I've never met a steak-eater that was as physically as strong as me... but occasionally I do eat a steak or two just to experience what a typical fat Oregonian eats. I went to acropolis becasuse it was my 21st and i have heard nothing but good things, When i got there there was a # dollar cover, No girls, No music and hardly any people. There were nothing but games, Expensive drinks and the people who were there were drunk idiots. I might try it again but i doubt it... It's not worth the drive.

Seriously here :). I won't cut down other places, but nothing can put a damper on your night more than a slow, crabby server. You won't get that here. The ladies that serve the drinks (and A+ steaks/food) here are really 'kick in the ### fun' people. Sadly :) they know me by name now - or wait ... who cares .. they rock. Special mention for Troy at the front - a bouncer that actually is not an a-hole! Really cool guy - sets the tone right off the bat .. then there is Alex serving tables .... she is sharp as a tack, witty and always makes us laugh. A+ All other things being equal - the employees that remain clothed are what really make the Acropolis the best exotic club in Portland. Not that I have a problem with unclothed women taking my $ bills, but they'd be nice to me if I were Captain Pike drooling, with two beeps for 'yes.' Server/bouncer staff being so fun, and family-like - that is unusual for a 'strip bar'. Go! Have fun.

Horrible service. Five friends and I waited two hours before a waitress came to take our order. Dancers are all 40+ years old.

My husband and I have been going to Acropolis for a break from our pedestrian life as parents of small children. We have had an absolute blast there each time--have never ordered food, we go to dinner elsewhere and then to Acropolis for entertainment. It's got a roadhouse atmosphere, the girls are very friendly and outgoing towards other women, which I appreciate. As a woman I do not feel uncomfortable or stared at at Acropolis. Honestly we've had so much fun each time we've gone that we shower tons of cash on the girls! Hey, they're getting nekkid and they deserve it. Highly recommended!

If you want the Steak Special, just set your plate on the meatrack. The dancers will work up an or gasm and cover your meat in a rich,thick and creamy white sauce that is unmatched for taste,brilliance and clarity. Next time I'm getting the beer special... Same approach, but the dancers squeeze off about an ounce of breast milk to make an excellent frothy titbeer! Be Well, I'm coming back!!!

First of all, to everyone who has written me emails, letting me know they want me back at Acrop, THANK YOU!!! Second, I will be there on Friday the 14th, and Saturday the 22nd to play music for not only some of the hottest dancers I have ever seen, but they are also some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Acrop is without a doubt, one of the best clubs in Oregon. It's a landmark. So please, if you know me, be there on those nights. If you don't know me, be there anyway. I jsut got through writing a review for "stars cabaret" - boy was I screwed over. This place, though not "classy" is as decent a place as most all other strip clubs in portland. A woman by the name "Infinity" works there and she is absolutely amazing in every way. From all the places I've went, she is as talented as ANY stripper with the pole. You should go out of your way to see if she works and check her out, its MEGA worth it. The steaks is as good as I could grill and I've grilled for 20 years. The drinks are cheap and strong. The cover charge is only $4.00 - the waitresses may be overworked but they DO care about you getting good service. The salad bar is not TOP notch, but it is easily average and no turn-offs at all. This place is not about glitz or being trendy, its about talent, beauty, and great food. Just do it. See my review for "stars cabaret", what a overpriced trendy scam.

I have been going to the Acropolis for years. I am very dissapointed that the Dj who has worked there for the last year or so has either quit or been fired. He would sometimes shave what looked like horns on the sides of his head. I thought this was weird, but my wife found it hilarious. We went there on Saturday and left because the new DJ sounds like an auctioneer. Why would they hire someone like that? It's annoying. I can only imagine that the Dj who is gone now is on to bigger and better things. It is not going to be the same without you. If you are reading this, please let us know where you are working now, so we can buy you a beer.

Straight-shooter Portlanders like me have known about the Acropolis for years. I've seen the owner feed the fireplace and invited a waitress (many are so beautiful I'd like to see THEM on stage) to my brother's wedding. That's how good it is. If you're from NYC or LA and want a great meal with drop-dead gorgeous dancers and a musical mix that's neither all hair metal nor all wussy rap for white suburbanites, come to the Acropolis. Some things in this town haven't been ruined yet by the hipster hordes.

For the price this is a great deal. The steak is so yummy and cheap. You get so much for the money. The variety of beers on draft are a bargian as well. The stripers are very fun to talk to and watch. As a couple we felt very at home and comfortable with all the others there to eat at watch!!! We had a blast and enjoyed the audiance as well!!!!

I had a party planned for my boyfriend, several people came up from out of town, and when we showed up, they told us we couldn't come in. We had to have the party in a studio .

I was a little terrified of getting a $4 steak at a strip club when my friend suggested we go there for "dinner". However, once we got the food and the booze, I was extremely impressed. The steak was really good, and it comes with fries/potato and texas toast. The both of us were stuffed, and for only $15 bucks total (incl. beer). I would have to say one of the best steak houses around.

I only go to the Acrop for the steaks. Can't get a better deal anywhere. The place isn't all that nice inside and neither are the girls. But the food is awsome.

What doesn't seem to be mentioned in this profile is that the Acropolis Steakhouse is a fully nude strip club with 4 stages and a live DJ on weekends. As far as strip clubs go, this place has the hottest dancers in Portland, hands down. The $4 steak dinner is legendary, and incredibly good. Drinks are stiff and cheap ($3 - $5), and there's plenty to choose from (50+ beers on tap, if that's your thing). The service is incredibly slow, and the staff are not happy people for the most part. Getting glared at and ignored by waitresses is fairly common here. On a last note: I was there a few months ago and the service had improved significantly. Not sure if it was just our waitress, or a continuing trend. Was quite pleased with it...

I don't know how they do it?! A HUGE steak with all the fixin's for 5 bucks! There is no better deal in town. I just wished there was one closer to where I live. The girls have fallen off as late, but still very sexy. Best Bargain in town that I have found. Let alone the 100+ beers they have on tap.

Ok, someone who reviewed mentioned that Ruth's Chris steaks are better than the Acropolis'. They sure are.....BUT the ones at the Acropolis cost $4-$8.00 We're talking filet mignon for eight bucks, and while it's not as good as a thirty dollar steak from the Portland Steak and Chophouse, they still taste great and go down perfect with your favorite beer. The girls are pretty good these days, two or three are exceptional...just don't go there for the lapdances, their setup sucks.

If you can get over the fact that there will be a nude woman with in eye sight at all time...They have some of the best steaks I have had...My wife and both agree you will not find a better steak for the price...and even she enjoys wacthing the dancers now.

Oddly enough this strip joint has a "couples" feel. Like a local pub that everyone goes to, but HEY naked women on 4 stages! The women are few and busy and not what I'd call "A list" dancers. They might be a little older, a little tatooed up or you may have seen one on internet porn (I Have). A bit run down and smells of greasy steak. People rave about the steaks, but this is the same trailer trash that brings their wife here on the weekends. I'm sure they've not been to Ruth's Chris... Anyway, not a bad spot as far as strip clubs go. Worth the drive and car is safe even on the East side.

If you want a HUGE burger and steak fries this is the place! You have to be hungry to finish off the "Giant Burger" and fries. And as if that isn't enough they have have an "Acropolis Burger" that weighs in at 5 pounds plus! They have over 50 kinds of beer on draught ~ good stuff! Oh- and adult entertainment to boot. Excellent steaks too! My favorite place!

A pretty good steak at a great price with a good atmosphere. Nothing like a steak, a beer, and a broad. Okay, so this is a little off topic but horrible strip clubs in Portland??? You're off your rocker man. Portland has a collection of some great strip clubs, you weren't spoiled in Nevada. You got took. Cali strip clubs are good, but come on. This is a friendly, down to earth, easy going strip club. I am from California, and was pleasantly surprised by the acropolis during my stay in Portland for a wedding. No, I wouldn't call it classy, and its not meant to be. The steak is good and really inexpensive, lots of beers to choose from, friendly ladies, and an atmosphere that doesn't make you feel hurried, or worse hustled. I like that a lot, and it speaks volumes of the fairness of the establishment. Try it out if you are in the Portland area, its worth going. Tip well, and the service is darn good. The $4 steak is a great bang for the buck.
