It's all the little things that happen that make this film so great.

Funny has hell. I love the interviews about the death of their drummers. "The offical report is that he died, choking on vomit, but found out that it wasn't his vomit!"

Hilarious. A parody and a satire on about twelve levels at once.

I'd give this movie "11" stars if I could....

Five stars won't do this drop-over hilarious film justice. Gets better as it goes along (going to 11 as it does), with an ensemble group of actors you can't help but enjoy. Heard talk of a sequel (hope they don't). If you listen closely, you can hear BIG BOTTOM sung in showers across the United States. The Stonehenge sequence is hands-down one of the finest moments in cinematic history, and should be studied by every first-year film student. A class act from beginning to end.

It's still one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. . .perfectly parodies the 70's and early 80's god-rock attitude. Remember the guitar speech?

Pretty funny & even funnier if you've ever been in or traveled with a band.

Directed by Rob Reiner, This Is Spinal Tap (1984) is one the ultimate cult films and one of the funniest movies, especially in its genre. For the uninitiated, the film is a mock documentary of an aging British heavy metal band (ie Spinal Tap). The story follows the band during its U.S. tour and all the clichés and stereotypical problems the band and individual members must face, for instance: getting lost on the way to the stage, poor record sales and reviews, prop screw-ups, and dominating girlfriends. The bottom line is that This Is Spinal Tap is a must see for any rock and roll fan and a common viewing experience for people of that generation. Don't forget to turn the volume up to eleven.

A true cult classic! One of the funniest movies of all time and certainly one of the cleaverest. It stands up to repeated viewings and the jokes never wear out. Without being demeaning, it uses endearing characters to make a skewering social commentary on various aspects of the rock and roll industry.
