This was similar to "Wagon Train" but was a trail drive taking cattle from Texas to Sedalia, Missouri, usually. Gil Favor played by Eric Fleming was the trail boss and Rowdy Yates played by Clint Eastwood was the straw boss. There were a lot of other great characters including Sheb Wooley, Paul Brinegar, etc. The last season, Fleming was killed making a movie and Clint took over as trail boss, but that didn't work out and the series was cancelled.

I love Rawhide, I wish they would show more reruns. Boy, was Clint young back then.

Dull and badly written series was most cursed by it's most uncomfortable and boring plot.
