I have a bit of advice for those who have engaged in breast augmentation. Please stay out of the auto mechanics business!

I suppose there are women out there who have done this and are happy with the results. matter of choice I guess. but not for me. I am fine with what I have. I would not know what to do with larger bossoms.

I like mine, thank you very much. I don't need to change the size.

This is really stupid and the results look ridiculous.I'd much rather have a wife or girlfriend with small or average breasts than someone who looks like they're hiding torpedoes there. Why should a womans self-esteem be centered on her breast size when it's her MIND and Personality that really count?

I am so pleased that I have finally read an article which understands how important breast surgery is to women like me. How can other women judge me when they haven't experienced being teased and bullied for the last ten years. So what if it costs me four thousend pounds, if this, for me, changes my life forever.

While it is true that we live in a world where we constantly strive for physical perfection, and regularly compare ourselves to images we see in the media, I firmly believe that a womans desire for breast implants often runs far deeper than a need to comply with what is perseved to be beautiful. For many people breasts are a sign of femmininity and to have little or no breasts can cause much embarrasment. Many women are so affected that they are afraid to undress infront of a partner, doctor or even in a communal changing room. While some people may find these feelings ilogical, to the women who experience them, no matter how beautiful, successful or otherwise happy they may be, they are real and consuming. Therefore breast augmentation shouldn't be seen as a negative self indulgent procedure, but as a positive step to making a woman feel more attractive and confident. And in response to the previous comment on this page, I imagine that women with breat implants sleep just like the rest of us... with their eyes shut and their head on a pillow.

I find it extremely depressing that breast augmentation surgery is practically commonplace these days. First, breast augmentation is surgery, and it carries serious risks and possible complications. There are other health issues down the road, including the difficulty women have doing breast exams and possible problems with materials in the implants. Second, I can't imagine wanting the kind of attention that comes with bigger breasts. I assume women who desire that look don't have much going for them in other areas, to say the least, which is really sad. Third, it's an obscene waste of money to spend on vanity! Finally, I think having breast implants would feel extremely awkward and annoying. How do women sleep with those things, for example? Maybe tastes will change, and the Twiggy look will be in again. Then we'll see all of the overinflated women lined up for their breast reductions...
