Never understood the point of it. If you have excess weight because you eat crappy food and don't exercise, what's the point of spending a lot of money and getting your fat sucked out if it's only going to return? Without an alteration of behavior regarding diet and lifestyle, you're ultimately going to be in the same boat you started off in, or so it would seem to me. I would think it would be preferable to lose the fat naturally through diet and exercise, but that's me. A running partner of mine had it done recently, and I still can't figure out why, as she isn't, and never was, overweight. She says the surgery was awful, one of the most painful things she ever experienced. In her words, "I am still really moving slow. My legs are black and blue from my pooch to my toes. Why? I don't know. Didn't touch my damn legs. Doc said he has never seen anyone bruise so bad. Go figure. But, I didn't really know that this recovery was going to be so damn long. Could take up to 3-6 months before it is 100%. Most of it will be leftover swelling and numbness but I sure hope that it moves along fast. I'm supposed to be on the beach in a week." Parts of what the surgery constitutes are still unclear to me. She said the fat cells were gone and they can't come back. I said, "In other words, you can't get fat now?" "No, I can still get fat if I continue to eat and drink like a pig." So...again I ask...what was the point of it?

Yecch. If you're too lazy to work off those excess pounds,you'll only gain them back after spending a fortune to have it sucked out of you.Much better to learn to live a healthier lifestyle,with more physical activity and better nutrition.That way you not only look healthy,but actually ARE.
