04/26/2004 | From the most beautiful to the most awful things are brown--the finest wooden furniture, and things I don't need to mention. Some of those coffee-and-chocolate skin colors are gorgeous to my eye ... but when you see something brown on the bottom of your shoe, ewww. Quite a spectrum (ill-chosen metaphor, I know) here.

04/26/2004 | Not bad. It's the color of my hair, my eyes, and chocolate. Brown is not my favorite color by any means, but it is not ugly, either. Actually, it depends on the hue of brown. The most lovely shade of brown I've ever seen is burgundy, or red-tinged brown.

It makes a statement, thus: I don't need no flashy reds, pinks, greens or purples. I'm comfortable, cool and downright sassy in a 70s stylee. Now fetch me a cocktail, boyee. Brown, if you'll excuse the poetry, is 'down'.

05/27/2003 | Brown is a plain, boring, and in some cases, disgusting color. It has always been my least favorite M&M color, and my least favorite hair color. It just lacks personality, and the fact that is the color of dirt and some other not-so-lovely substances doesn't help.

03/07/2003 | I never really liked brown too much until it became fashionable last fall. Then, it seemed like brown was everywhere! I, of course, jumped on the bandwagon and splashed brown throughout my wardrobe and I discovered that it is a very dynamic and often lovely color. I can't see myself wearing it anytime except in autumn, however. . .

03/04/2003 | Brown has to be the ugliest colour possible. Metaphorically, at least, brown is what happens when you throw the earth - precious gems, foliage, garbage, and all - into a blender. There is nothing vibrant or exciting about brown.

09/09/2001 | I love brown. Chocolate and mocha are my favourite shades. I would love to have a mocha colored satin comforter on my bed. I saw a Neon car the other day in a beautiful rich shade of mocha. Most cars are a bland light beige, but this was great. I frequently wear mocha colored nail polish. I think men look great in chocolate brown dress shirts.

08/31/2001 | When I first think of brown, I think of ..you know, poopy caca. However, I think I really like brown (aside from the bowel movement). I like wood, hardwood floors, wood furniture in its natural color, khakis, brown leather belts, chocolate, I don't like brown cars.

08/07/2001 | Brown may have a few "poopy" connotations, but basically it's not a bad color. For instance, brown can lend a very dignified even classic look to shoes, boots, purses, and saddles. Chestnut brown horses are beautiful as are chocolate brown labs and rich brown earth. Brown cows, while they do not dispense chocolate milk, can also be very sweet and appealing animals. Brown eyes are warm and sensual, brown skin ages well and looks very smart against gold jewelry. Brown is the color of rootbeer and almost everything that is chocolate. Little brown English sparrows may seem less interesting than their more colorful finch relatives but rather than drawing attention to themselves, they may just be serving the purpose of contrast. There is sometimes a lot to be said about keeping a low profile and brown can also serve as an excellent element in camouflage.

08/05/2001 | Brown is generally a very underestimated color. For some reason it doesn't appeal to a lot of people. I like brown because it represents my favorite things in the world, nature and coffee. Think about it, the trees are brown, the leaves turn brown, clay is brown as is mud, foods, eyes and hair. Wether or not we like brown, nature sure seems to get a kick out of it.
