I think I was in that category. I wasn't too smart too be a nerd. I wasn't too daring to be a rebel. I wasn't too silly to be a clown. I was too reserved to be weird. Too outspoken to be shy. And I was anything, but average. I guess I was multi-sided person who could talk to anyone about anything.

The movers and the shakers, the popular kids that always kept school interesting by being either subjects of discussions or finding those to talk about. The ones whom people either loathed or loved. Well known by students as well as teachers. I was definitely one of these kids and seemed more outgoing during my school years than now.

This is probably the category I was in back in the school days...because I tried my hardest to get along with everyone..and normally did...

Well, there were two types of outgoing people in my school - the ones that were really friendly and easy to get along with, and the ones that were really loud and obnoxious.

Outgoing kids were the cream of the crop. They got along with kids on all social echelons and didn't draw any distinctions.

I sure wasn't when I was in school (until grad school anyway). Good healthy trait though.

Being outgoing is a positive trait to have. Too bad I wasn't that way back in my school days.
