As American as apple pie! This statement sums up the importance of the apple to American culture. With so many variaties there is literally an apple for every taste whether that be sweet, sour, bitter, or (with the aid of a sprinkle or two) even salty. Few fruits go so well with pork and have the versatility to be prepared in many forms. All I can ask is that you stop eating Red Delicious and try something different like Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or even the famouse Granny Smith.

I only rated this good instead of great because I don't like all kinds of apples. MacIntosh are too tart, reds are too pulpy, fijis are fabulous and gala too, cameos are tasty, and granny smith are good for making apple pie.

apples are okay. but as much as i have tried eating them. I have never been fond of apples raw. now baked, I like a lot. not sure why. I keep sampling them. only when I have a raw one dunked in carmel I like them that way. by themself not as big of a fan.

It's my luck; it's probably the best food you can eat, the healthiest, and I can't stand it. Any of it. Apples, pears, plums, apricots, etc. etc. I'll sometimes drink apple juice, which can help keep you awake and alert more nutritiously than caffeine can. And I do love apple pie (warm, with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on it). But if I never had to eat another apple in this life, it wouldn't bother me.
