 | scarletfeather (47) 10/09/2005 | Well, I wouldn't eat a lemon by itself, but I like lemon juice in my ice water, and lemon is also great on grilled chicken.

 | Randyman (103) 02/11/2005 | I have a very productive lemon tree in my backyard. It produces great fruit and makes great lemonade. Lemons and limes can be used interchangably on meats and veggies.

 | lukskywlkr. (3) 11/02/2002 | Lemon flavor on anything just ruins it for me, and a lemon itself is even worse. Sour, bitter, nasty things. They actually make my teeth hurt.

 | danmuse (0) 09/14/2001 | The lemon intrigues - you can't eat it right out of the peel (at least not most of us), but where would we be in the kitchen without it? It is an essential ingredient (both the fruit and the peel) in many many recipes for main courses (cooked or otherwise), cold foods and salads, condiments, beverages, desserts.. the list is long. Tricky little suckers those lemons. Love 'em.

 | Frank15 (0) 09/10/2001 | Alongside apples, these have got to be the most versitile of fruits. Lemon juice itself can be added to almost anything to give it that extra zing, and of course, ice cold lemonade is almost as good as a drink can get, particularly when made with fresh-squeezed lemons! As for eating them raw, I actually enjoy them! Yes, that's right--I don't mind eating them "as is"! Though they are very sour, they have an excellent taste to them that makes it worth putting up with the extreme sourness, a special taste that limes don't have. Perhaps the only thing that would make them better would be for them to be a little less sour...
