When I was a college student I was always impressed how a discussion of Hegel, Kant, Hobbes, or Schopenhauer would get women hot.

To be serious, I usually found DH Lawrence, Sylvia Plath, WB Yeats, or Erica Jong more effective.

And when you're not wading through all the tripe like anti-realism, it certainly is a very satisfying thing to study.

Philosophy was created by men who had nothing else better to do but sit around and speculate and most of there speculation was down right wrong because the reasoning behind it was error ridden. Philosophy blasshhhhhh

Don't underestimate the enlightening aftereffects of theological, ideological and scientific postulation. Though I wouldn't advise mixing the two, accidentally invalidating your own existence can really dampen one's libido.
