This is one of the greatest bands of all time! The individual talents of each member past & present can not be denied...they are all amazing! This years' tour is a must see and the new album is fresh & new while keeping the sound that is Journey intact. Those who say all their songs sound the same really have not listened to this band & are making unedjucated statments. Give Journey a try...you will be blown away! Journey deserves to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of fame!

To put into words the positive influence that Journey has had on my life is hard to do because it is so many emotions. In the 1980's Journeys' music helped capture the fun and laughter, teenage romances and first love of my life. Today 25 years later Journeys' music brings all of the memories of teenage carefree blissful first romances and that carefree ambionce back to me. For awhile it seemed my life was getting so tragedy stricken, my fathers death only to be followed up by a close friends suicide, at 31 one years old and feeling pretty weighted down with greif and bleek darkness and all the while trying to be a fun wife and mother of two. I can not tell you what came over me and how uplifted I was after long prayer sessions and hours of the heartfelt passion of the band that is so deserving of the music hall of fame recognition. I really believe that the music and hearts of this band has helped bring years of joy into my life in my teenage years and then brought it back to me after the darkness. I can't thank God and the band, Journey, eneough for sharing their talents with me and I am sure this goes for thousands more. This years generation concert is great and is also very reassuring to know that my experience with this band will also be shared with the generation of my children. Thank you so much.

One of the best bands of their time, and continues to be one of the best even now. Great performance and songs...though some of them are a little on the sad/depressing side.

When i listen to Captured back in 1981 i said WOH! that's great. Now 24 years later (vinyl replaced for CD) i put the CD on and i say .... yes the same as back in 1981, what a live peformance. Put them on.

This is the band that was first dubbed with the power ballad slogan. Journey's blues and jazz roots, if you research their history, is quite fasinating. Neal Schon, whether you play guitar or not, is easily one of the top 10 players in the world. They certainly had their share of power ballads, but face it, that's where the $ came from. But don't forget their early years...they were true rock and rollers! Hall of Fame worthy? Without question!

Journey is one of the greatest rock & roll bands to come out of the 1980's, they deserve to be inducteed sooner than later.
steveperry 05/06/2005
Steve Perry is the greatest singer ever!!!
journey2006 05/06/2005
Journey should be apart of the class of 2006 hall of fame inductions. They were pioneers of arena rock, they made power ballads popular, and they sold millions of albums worldwide. Seeing these guys inducteed would make my day. This would be a great chance to see Steve Perry, Neal Schone, Greg Rolie, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory, and Steve Smith share the stage together for the first time and maybe only time.

I had some memories of high school dances and Open Arms, Faithfully, Don't Stop Believin....I was growing up. Their songs were everywhere. But Rock n Roll Hall of Fame material? Let's get real.
onajourney 04/20/2005
Love these guys, always have, always will.
SonicDeath10 04/19/2005
Wrote okay pop songs but are way too boring, derviative and silly to be considered.

Plastic RR-nicely packaged but nothing grounbreaking.

One of the greatest Rock bands of all times. Neal Schon has more versatility and commitment than any guitar player in history. None can compare. The Master at work. WWW.NealSchon.Net

This band has been making Rock rock for years! I love it, as do my kids, who range in age from 18 down to 4! Why aren't they in the HOF already??
Llwax 04/18/2005
Fantastic band..Neal Schon is one of the greatest guitar players of our time, and nobody could match Steve Perry's awesome vocals...not then, not now. Many bands today name Journey or one of the members as a prominent influence.
Elle13 04/14/2005
I'd just like to bring their average score down a little. :-)
mtbmlb 04/08/2005
With hits like Faithfully and Open Arms, they definitly are deserving of the Hall.
cathjens 04/03/2005
How can anyone possibly think anything but a 5-great? What a band!! I love them and have for 30 years! It's amazing to me that they aren't already in...

texasyankee 04/02/2005

Mak 04/01/2005
More than deseving! 30+ years of music, many chart hits that are still played today and just some of the most talented, wonderful musicians ever!
Journeyfer 04/01/2005
Journey combined fabulous songs, talented musicians and great business sense to create something that should not be ignored by the Rock and roll community. Their ability to range from ballad to completely rocking songs makes them attractive to young and old alike. They have it all, they deserve a spot in the hall of fame.
Picabo 03/31/2005
Oh please. What a no brainer. Journey IS the soundtrack to your lives, whether you want to admit it or not. Personally, I LOVE admitting it. And so would the thousands of people that were there in Hollywood watching them accept their star on Hollywood Boulvevard. Doubt you'd get any arguement from them!
Kmorse4219 03/31/2005
Journey deserves this more than any body. They have endured through the years, have been inovators in rock and roll and appeal to ALL generations. You can't say this about many.
GnR 03/31/2005
The guitarist left his talent with Santana 35 years ago. Singer never had any.
Journey RN 03/31/2005
Journey was teh quintessential band of the 80s - a sound like no other, thanks to Steve Perry and the others...there is no other greater band...put them in the Hall where they belong!
Jrnyval 03/31/2005
Journey deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame most definitely!!!! Some people just don't know good music when they hear it, sad but true!!! Oh, and Steve Perry's not in the band anymore....so get over it. Journey deserves this honor more than just about any band out there.
jillybeanjourn ey 03/31/2005
Of course Journey deserves to be in the R&R HOF...they introduced the R&R world to large-venue video screens, other concert production media, gave us awesome musicianship and songwriting skills..and gave us music with definite staying power...they were and are the soundtrack to all our lives. Journey deserves this SO much! Thank you Journey for being so great.
jurnees end 03/31/2005
Why they are not in there already is a complete mystery to me. Get them in, you know it makes sense!
skizz 03/31/2005
they are past due this honor and are well deserving of it.
SimKev 03/31/2005
This is way past due for Journey. They deserve their rightful place in the Hall.
KCjrny 03/31/2005
Journey most definatly deserves to be in the Hall of Fame! they are still awesome after 30 + years! Visit www.journeytothehalloffame.com for more info
Hipmink 03/31/2005
Journey has survived the 70's, 80's, and 90's. I have been a fan always and think they sound better than ever. Journey should absolutely be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Journey rocks- past and present!
Djahuti 03/10/2005
If all Rock n Roll sounded like this,we'd have slept through the last 30 years!
Cheap Leppard 03/03/2005
Can't belive they are not allready in, but the Clash is, what the hell is going on here.
louiethe20th 02/12/2005
What a great group!Perry is one of the better vocalists that ever lived!Get a clue Skizero.Update:Who would you suggest is better Scarlet, that is not already in?You guys are going to honestly say they were not good?
scarletfeather 02/12/2005
Their music is pap, and Steve Perry sounds like an emasculated seal when he attempts to sing. If Journey makes it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, suspect a put-up job.
Skizero 02/11/2005
not even if they bought a ticket.
CanadaSucks 01/14/2005
You've got to be kidding me. Remember Steve Perry's voice? Give me 80's or give me death. Egad.
