 | Jamie McBain (54) 07/25/2005 | They are dangerous animals, but keep in mind they are even more dangerous when they are dead and lying on the beach, if you see one, stay far far away, don't go near it, don't touch it, don't pick it up, just stay far far away.

 | DGardner (0) 07/03/2005 | Maybe you are thinking about box jellyfish which are known to cause Aussie officials to shut down entire stretches of beach because their venom is so toxic. There are some reports that box jellies can actively pursue their prey at 5 mph in contrast to passively floating around as other jellies do! My vote goes to the box jellies.
