Chris Jansing is a remarkable package. Beyond the fact that she is gorgeous in a really unique way, she knows her stuff, is an above average interviewer, has a sense of humor, and comes across as a self-assured, competent, genuine, and comfortable with herself. She is one of the few female anchors that I'm aware of that is able to be spontaneous without looking somewhat lost. I suppose her ability to cover for absent anchors in addition to her regular reporting duties make her valuable as a substitute anchor but I think MSNBC is really missing the boat by not giving her her own permanent anchor position.

Very Underrated. Has had to put up with all the turmoil at MSNBC the past five years. She may not be a runway model like Rudi, Christi, Kiran, or Juliet but to me she comes off as having a brain as opposed to some of the above runway models. Probably the 2nd hardest working anchor at MSNBC behind Lester Holt. Definatly one of MSNBC's better interviewers. She knows her stuff and seems to be plugged into everything going on because I haven't seen her stumble when asking a question or making an observation unlike others (Amy Robach for example). Isn't afraid to interrupt the guest to get them to explain something to the viewer if she thinks that the guest is talking over the viewer's head. I like that in an interviewer. When the Gulf War 2 started up, Chris ended up doing seven hour shifts in front of the camera starting at five in the morning for two weeks straight. During the 2000 elections Chris spent over a month on the road and stayed in Florida for the entire recount process. Meanwhile she had only four suits for the entire period and frequently had to sleep in college dorm rooms. Chris seems to be MSNBC's go to anchor after Lester This year she's been on the road doing political reports and covering the Primaries. When she wasn't doing that she was hosting special coverage of the 9/11 Hearings and D-Day. And she's going to be covering the Conventions. I suppose at some point she'll take a vacation. If that doesn't say a lot about Chris' dedication and ability, I don't know what does.

As mentioned below, I'm one of the lucky ones to have caught Chris Kapostacy Jansing when she was in Albany, and I've had it bad for her ever since. Unlike most other gorgeous TV news women, she's beautiful but in a nontraditional way, and smart, without projecting a superior attitude. Also, she's somehow defying time, because she still looks like she's 30 although she's past 40. I'm glad she's finally been getting more of her due at MSNBC after they wasted a lot of time and effort on airheads like Ashleigh Banfield.

this is interesting: i think she's somewhat pretty, but i don't necessarily find her sexy. i enjoy watching her, but it has nothing to do with how she looks (even though she looks good). i take her seriously, which i strange (for me).

This is someone Fox News should look into hiring. Very professional, pretty balanced, and easy on the eyes.

Chris is a unique beauty that is unparalleled in the news media. That uniqueness of her eyes, face, hair and intelligence is what I find so irresitable.

A complete package! Brains, beauty, and professionalism. Love the short skirts, and her legs. She is hot for any age.

She is great

An unbelieveable package as a TV News Personality! She has it all. Great looking, very intelligent, classy sex appeal, professional demeanor with a great delivery. Always seems well prepared and on top of her subjects. She seems so well informed. And great legs! I love to see her wear short skirts! I was lucky to have her as a local TV news anchor for nearly 15 years. Not to sound like too much of a pervert, but she has given me wood on many occasions. She seems to come across a down to earth, accessible person that many men find appealing. I hope they dramatically increase her air-time on MSNBC.

Truly a class act, and a professional of high order. She seems to go full bore into any assignment, and from the kind demeanor with those children working as reporters lately to the dedication in campaign reporting, to professionalism at the anchor desk, truly one of the best in the business. Her class in her appearance is a plus, but only reflects her preparation in her reporting and anchor work. A great news professional and a great lady. Best of luck to her in everything!

As far as I am concerned, she is drop-dead gorgeous. She is attractive in every way and I can't turn the stupid channel when she is on. She's very intriguing. As for looks, I usually go for girls much younger than me (early 20's), but I'd spend an evening with her over any 20 something!

One of the top 5 (male or female) in the biz. Hard working, more than a news reader, personality, intelligence, beauty. Was the difference for MSNBC in the early morning. Went elsewhere when she moved to differennt time slot.

Her progress is astounding. She communicates much better, is at ease more and does an excellent job.

Chris is professional and poised and I would rather watch her than Lester Holt or Keith Olberman anyday.
strumphs 09/29/2003
I could watch her all day. Yes, I'm primarily attracted to her unique good looks, but she also is an excellent anchor and full of personality. I'm sure she'd be fun to know in real life. I often hear people say that she looks good "for her age" - well I say she looks good, period. [I'm in my 20s, and if I weren't married already...] Not "gorgeous," but so high on the cute/beauty scale that I'm enthralled by her. Ah well, I could go on... =)
vernon 09/26/2003
I like her, however she should be more relaxed and change her hair style
SmoothAsSilk 07/24/2003
Far and away the best thing MSNBC has going for it. Not drop-dead gorgeous like the info-babes at Fox.....just an incredibly competent news anchor. I find myself making sure I watch when shes on the air.
