Certainly. Anything that involves a person or group working together to cross a finish line while sweating it out is a sport.

It's a racing sport, teams are trying to get across the finish line first. The team with the greatest strength and technique wins. So it has a tangible act of victory, head to head competitition and an endeavour of physical excellence.

Well, it's more of a sport than soccer is. Sure it's boring, but nothing's boringer than a freaken soccer game.

Definitely a sport of teamwork and stamina, but would be more entertaining if there were a series of zig zagging gates (like in downhill skiing) or obstacles in the water such as mines.

Very obviously a sport. But very dull I don't know how anyone can sit and watch a race like that.

Definetely a sport. Requires great shoulder/arm/back strength, timing, and stamina.

No doubt a sport. I was on the crew team in college and it was more of a pain in the ass than any other sport I've participated in. You wake up at 4am and your practice is over before the caf opens for breakfast. The benefits are that it's a great workout for your arms and back, and even though it's so cold outside it's invigorating once you get some speed on the water.

Clearly a sport. A damned dull one to watch most of the time though.
