11/21/2005 | I'm not sure what this phenomenon that so many claim to have experienced is - though I have theories. And, I don't think people "get lost" going to the other side. Near death experiences would seem to negate that idea. People who have NDEs report seeing their bodies but the spirit/soul never remains behind. Though these accounts are interesting, never having had one, I'm still working out of pure faith. And my instincts and St. Paul tell me that to be "absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". This seems a much more acceptable alternative than hanging around a graveyard waiting for ghost busters to show up with a celestial compass.
