What the heck is CBS doing? Who's bright idea was it to cancel the show? What bone head is making decisions over there?

I am really sorry to see Threshold pulled from CBS's schedule especially on Friday night which is devoid of any real good shows. I was really gettting interested in the storyline. Hopefully they'll bring it back or maybe another network will pick it up. At least they could have let it run the full season.
DonRV 01/19/2006
THRESHOLD WAS ONE OF THE BEST SCI FI SHOWS TO COME ALONG IN A GREAT WHILE I AGREE WITH SOME ONES COMMNT THAT ITS NO WONDER THAT CBS IS IN LAST PLACE REMBER DOCTOR VAGAS
omena191 01/17/2006
Very well thought script, relatively decent actors, excellent theme and drama
qxlr 01/13/2006
No wonder CBS is last place. They cancelled the best show in the fall line-up, after moving it to Tuesday due to a "ratings drop". Maybe they should have hyped the slot change more than 2 times prior to the jump and maybe more fans would've had the chance to catch it before it was gone forever. In the real world such poor management of post production product placement is dealt with quick and cleanly. New management at CBS, now.
bluenow 01/10/2006
I love the premise of this show, the look and finally the realization. I have been waiting for it to return after the holiday slump, and have just learned that CBS intends to cancel it - why?? It's refreshing to have a good sci-fi drama to watch as a break from all the CSI gore. Please reconsider!
wkd1 12/31/2005
Great show!!! Got in contact with sky, the channel showing Threshold in the uk, Who thank me for the information about the show being cancelled as they knew nothing about it!!! Well done CBS!!!! not!
waterlily1010 12/29/2005
My husband and I have been watching since Threshold started showing in the UK. We simply love it. Why is it being cancelled? Low ratings? Well, obviously, some people on that side of the Atlantic prefer stupid series, with stupid dialogues and bad acting? Threshold is a smart series which deserves to continue to entertain the more discerning public.
jadegoddess 12/27/2005
I love this show. The only one offered on the major networks that appeals. Strong, quirky characters, completely creepy (in a good way) premise. Please, please don't cancel. CBS should screw demographics for once and give quality a chance. Changing the time slots only frustrates the faithful.
Salle 12/26/2005
Im frpm sweden and i watched Treshold, very intressting plot and good cast. Why does every Sci-fi series gets canceld?
Erinspider 12/21/2005
Stupid, stupid, stupid CBS!!! You just couldn't leave a good thing alone, could you? Our family skips network TV for 10 years, gets talked into trying a CBS lineup on Friday nights and the stupid execs for CBS go and move it around to where you can't find the bloody thing!! Then to cancel it? Erm....perhaps you should have TOLD people so that they could find it. Pardon me for assuming that you care enough for viewership to inform. My bad. I don't do reality and if I want to see law-like programs, I'll watch the news. I was being entertained, but sadly that's all gone now. Back to books, cable, and internet for me.
Ladybird8dog 12/15/2005
I love the show and I'm eager to see how the unfolding plot continues to play out. CBS, please stick with it. It is too good to cancel. I really liked the Friday time slot but will watch it whenever you air it. Thanks!
kelleylynn 12/11/2005
I think this is the best new show of this season!
jme 12/10/2005
My husband and I think this show is great! It's got a top-notch cast and good sci-fi plots. Please, CBS, give this show time to find it's audience! We loved it on Fridays before Numbers, but will watch on Tuesday night if they pledge to keep it on the air.
hazee 12/07/2005
Smart, new and entertaining. Please, please, please don't do this.
chrystalbelle7 2 12/03/2005
This show needs to go away now. It is ignorant show. It doesn't keep me interested or the group of people I know. I give it two thumbs "down" and hopefully nothing that stupid will come again on tv.
BlackoutNights 12/02/2005
Great writing, acting and direction. Therefore, this show will be cancelled.
Zarathustra 12/01/2005
The best of the three main network sci-fi shows and it's maybe being cancelled? How can this be? I have a bad gut feeling about networks? They don't work! Threshold gave intelligence back to the airwaves or so I thought. I miss it dearly. Enough that this is the first time I have ever made any Internet Comment about a TV program. I am holding out HOPE that CBS will see the light or that FOX or SCI-FI will step in and let the show develope along it's supernatural course.
delanewf 11/30/2005
This show is awesome. If CBS drops it, they are idiots. CBS moves it from Fridays at 9pm to Tuesdays at 10pm to help it get better ratings(so they say). One thing: they forget to tell everyone they move it. No wonder it did worse than Friday its first time on Tuesday. Now CBS only gives it one chance on Tuesday to do better then they pull the plug? It's like they want the show to fail so they have an excuse to cancel it. This is a crock. If I were the producers, I would be very upset at this raw deal.
ShameOnCBS 11/29/2005
CBS has a great show in Threshold. It started out on Friday Nights and I gladly modified my schedule to watch it, much like I did when the X-Files started. Unfortunately it appears that CBS would prefer to run cheap uninspired reality shows instead of great dramas and unlike Fox which gave the X-Files its start CBS doesn't seem to have the ... to keep it on the air. I certainly hope that if CBS does cancel the show that another, more supportive network or cable picks it up.
T_Marsh 11/29/2005
The show is fantastic. Now, however, it was supposed to be on tonight, Tuesday 11/29 at 10P and it's not on. Switching a hard core sci fi show from Friday to Tuesday, I think was a good idea (Sci Fi Friday has Fridays tied up for sci fi fans). But now it's not on. I hope that CBS doesn't decide to nix the show. It's fantastic.
Sooze 11/29/2005
This is one of the better shows this season, but with the way they move it around, changing days and times, its no wonder its not doing well. It was one of my must see shows until I couldn't find it. I took the trouble to hunt it down only to find out it will probably be cancelled. Too bad, I thought CBS had someone, with a few brain cells to rub together, in charge.
zilly 11/24/2005
One of the best three shows on TV. Lost, Threshold, and Prison Break are the only "can't miss" TV shows.
scrapman 11/18/2005
I rather enjoyed this show. I am tired of reality television and this was a breath of fresh air especially for friday night. I just found out they pulled plug on fridays and moved but I will still watch. Thanks CBS
pmscheer 11/09/2005
Loved it! Nice fill in for the absence of new Stargate shows on SciFi. Original concept for alien invasion ideas, much better than "invasion" on ABC. Did notice a few hokey moments, but the show is young and needs time to work out the kinks.
ckac730 10/31/2005
Awesome new show. The very best. Gives CBs a great 1-2 punch with Numbers on Friday nights.
grendell 10/03/2005
I am a science fiction fan through all of its mediums, books, movies and TV series. I must admit this is the newest concept I have run into recently. Someone out there has finally had an original thought and are running with it. Five thumbs up in my opinion, keep up the good work.
iamatbat 10/01/2005
Rock on Threshold Command!!
TexKan 09/29/2005
I think Carla Gugino is great, loved her as Karen Cisco. I'm glad she is back. I hope the writers keep it fresh and smart. Good start so far.
Nflguy2004 09/28/2005
The show looked like it might be cool in previews but isnt. Aside from Brent Spiner and George Dutton who do a good job, the rest is garbage. The characters are put into laughable situations(allegedly the most important group in the country yet they go on "dangerous" missions with little more then a mall security guard for protection??). The two lead characters are such bad actors that im suprised the show that the show is almost unwatchable. The lead female pretty much gets by as an actress by doing the occasional nude scene (which she cant do here since its network tv) I really wanted it to be good. I feel bad for spiner
kledge 09/24/2005
This is one of the worst pieces of television programming I have ever viewed. The plots are horribly written and make no sense. The characters interactions are awkward at best. This show is an insult to the intelligence of its viewers. The writers apparently know very little about the sci-fi genre. They could learn a few things about suspense and what appeals to viewers by watching ABC's "Lost." It would be in CBS's best interest to yank this program as soon as possible.
LadyLuck2778 09/23/2005
I'll admit I'm new to watching SciFi, but I really loved the first episode! I thought it was great, and I'm really shocked at the opinions here. Maybe I'm not the best judge, but this show had my attention, and I've waited all week in excitement for the next episode. I LOVED it.
CandyReil 09/22/2005
If you like the xfiles, you'll like this--besides, anything Carla Gugino is in is good. I know there are people who are not fans of sci-fi but I don't understand how anyone could say it was horrible!! I'll continue to watch!!
WillBama 09/19/2005
A truly awful show, simply horrible, one of the worst I have ever seen. Please, CBS, pull the plug on this load of tripe before it poisons the airwaves any further. I haven't checked yet, but I'll bet you a dollar to a horney midget that Jump the Shark already has an entry for this loser.
Wonder Dog 09/18/2005
This series is truly awful--the spookiest thing about this buddies-against-aliens genre pastiche is how much money is apparently being poured down the drain to float one of the most derivative shows to come down the pike. Talk about high-concept. The competition is no longer X-Files or Millenium (that tower above this lead weight)--they're long gone. Today's competition are genuinely engaging character-driven shows like Lost or any number of favorites that will come to mind a stray second before you advance the remote.
Bertha D. Universe 09/17/2005
I only wish I could have voted 0 on this show... Any show that resorts to midgets as main characters (with the rare exception of a movie like C&tCF) is looking for a max. of 8 airings. The special effects, editing, inconsistencies in lighting, poor camera angles, and overall fragmented (and generally weak) dialogue made me stop watching after 40 minutes. This shows first episode was one of the worst pieces of tape I have seen in years.
jan bell 09/16/2005
Oh My Goodness!--This is the greatest new show in YEARS! How can I thank CBS enough for this wonderful new program--and on a FRIDAY night, too! This is usually the time of week when there is nothing on to watch! I was a big fan of X-Files and still watch the old reruns in the middle of the night--but this goes way and beyond what they had. This new actor, Carla Gugino, is fantastic--utterly believeable--and I liked her male co-stars, too. Every one of them was perfect for the part! I loved the way that a little bit of humor was interjected into the serious story line. Reminds me of how Jerry Orbach used to make Law & Order such a gem to watch. Really, I am so tired of watching all the Law & Order shows--I know them all by heart. But it was about the only thing worth watching on TV other than the great CSI shows that CBS presents. My favorite CSI--Las Vegas--has the same qualities as this new Threshold show--enough science but toned down enough so that the average viewer can understand it, plus humor; plus good character development. Each one is very human...I especially like the midget. Sorry, I did not catch his name but he is going to be terrific! Chief Moose I recognized--and so glad to see his talents being used. He is also great in his part. Being from Georgia, naturally, all in my family LOVED the BULLDOG! I just want to say that the writers and the editors of the new Threshold show are TOPS! THANK YOU! Oh, this Threshold show is fantastic! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for finally bringing something great to watch again on TV. CBS--please keep this show on the air--I LOVE IT. I don't know the names of all the other actors on the show, but please convey to them how wonderful they are. All during the show, my sister and I were calling each other back and forth to say, Isn't this GREAT? and Can you believe a show this great is finally on TV? and Hurrah for the new Fall Season to have something with this many stars---I give it a 10* rating myself!! Jan Bell in Carrollton, GA.

Middle of the road for now. Seems somewhere right between smart & dumbed down. Great & talented cast, although the 'rag-tag group comes together to solve a mystery' premise is old & contrived. Hopefully doesn't get to the point of involving 'sexual chemistry'. CBS - if you can achieve the balance of making it smarter for sci-fi fans & yet accessable to the average viewer, & you'll have a winner.
cgf 09/16/2005
What a dumb premise: cbs starts off by blowing up a ship 80 miles off the _US_ coast, because of the proximity (many hours off initially) of a N Korean sub. We have 1st contact of a biothreat type, but is the CDC involved; nope, just one guy in a goofy labcoat. This complete show is ridiculous, and deserves a quick death.
Redoubt 09/16/2005
Working Theory: Aside from space based sci fi, anything on terra firma has to match the benchmarks set by The X-Files in acting, script, directing and suspension of disbelief. Threshold: To begin with, the characters seem a bit stiff and disconnected but since this is the pilot, it should be expected. Generally speaking, I dislike eclectic groups working together to solve a mystery. I prefer Holmes and Watson, Mulder and Scully, Batman and Robin instead of the whole League of Superheroes. Less is indeed more. So far, this group is no different than the one featured in the Species movie series. We dont get a lot of any one member except for Caffrey (Carla Gugino). Brent Spiner, who was great as Data on Star Trek TNG, still reminds of the cloistered (and somewhat rattled) scientist he played in Independence Day. Remember the super soldier/alien hybrid from the X-Files? Hes back. He just chased Caffrey from her home after jumping ship in the mid Atlantic with about a half a dozen bullet holes in his chest. He could have killed her but chose to mumble something about bananas before getting sprayed in the eyes with some tub & tile cleaner Jut an hour into the show, Id say that its good to have a sci fi back on in prime time but they need to lose a few of the eclectics to make it work. On a 1 to 10 scale the first hour is 6.5.
aeacus 09/16/2005
Very, very, very silly. I normally love sci-fi, but seriously! An 'altered' killer swimming across the pacific and then walking across the US to DC in an afternoon - now that's just dumb (or maybe the North Koreans were sailing just off the eastern seaboard). And three-stranded DNA.....? Please.
teejaybee55 09/16/2005
Just watched the first hour. Show is a loser. Writing is truly mediocre. Good cast totally wasted, and I am a sci-fi and Carla G fan. Too bad.
Slade Steele 09/08/2005
I saw the preview version of the Pilot and both my wife and I really enjoyed it. We both jumped and were startled several times and it wasn't at all predictable. It definately is a bit scary and not suited for younger audiences (note the 9:00 time slot). I'm very excited to find out what happens in the 2nd episode and will be curious to see how the reshot/re-edited final version comes out. The characters are great, even though they seem a bit disconnected from each other (I think this is on purpose). This one will be something to check out! If they keep up this level of intelligence and excitment throughout the series, I think CBS will have a big hit on their hands!
SciFiFan 08/31/2005
I am hoping one of the networks can produce a quality science fiction program. Brent Spiner is one of the reasons I will watch this show. But only good stuff will keep me watching.
ilikelivingher e 08/13/2005
Sounds very promising. I'm hoping that this show will be a hit. I think it will probably be a a hit because the shows that have aired on CBS at 9:00 pm have gone to become hits. DALLAS is a great example of this and most recently CSI. Also the cast doesn't look bad either. And finally some other shows about aliens on other channels don't look as promising. Surface(NBC)is probably goign to get cancelled. Also Supernatural(WB)looks like it will get cancelled. The one that will probably survive will be Invasion(ABC), due to the LOST fans.
