We have three Persimmon trees in our yard (one in the front and two in the back). For anyone who does not know what they are, they are arguably the sweetest fruit when they are totally ripe. Soft to the touch and as sweet as brown sugar (with a jelly-like consistency), they are the ultimate dessert fruit (especially when they are made into cookies or pies, and mixed with crushed walnuts and pecans- with a little powdered sugar to finish them off). I highly recommend Persimmons.
