Paula Abdul's comments are just so worthless lately. "You're just great!" Come on now... i can say the same thing but you don't see me on painkillers. I'm just so sick of listening to her comments lately, it's just getting so ridiculous.

I have gotten to the point where I mute the television when it's her turn to speak. She is by far the most annoying person to hit modern television since Mary Hart. Not only will she not criticize, but she won't let Simon criticize. He can't get a word in with that psycho around or she's putting her hands in his face, standing up in his face, or crying like she just sharted herself. Randy is the man!

paula sucks. she lets people through for no apparent reason. she'll flat out tell contestants they aren't good enough but she'll let them through anyhow.

Terrible judge, has to get her way, she judges everyone as if they are all great, scared to tell em the truth... should be taken off the show!!!!...

We need Paula Abdul. I'm over Simon's comments this business is tough, I'm just preparing you guys. Paula is handling it, like you handle performance discussions in the business world. You point out a good think, put in something where you need to improve and wraps it up with a compliment. That way people keep their confidence and can improve easier. I truly believe in that. It is not that Paula does not criticize people, she is doing it in a professional way. I love her.

I gave her four stars not because she's a great judge but because the judging panel needs her there to balance its chi (AKA as Simon's antithesis). Every now and then she has good commentary, and although I believe she's far too sweet, she has gotten a bit tougher this season.

She's my favorite judge. Yet intuitively, you'd think hiring her to judge singing would be like hiring Keanu Reeves to judge an acting competition. To be fair, I'm sure Simon is no better a singer than Paula. But I'd pay money for them to trot Paula on stage and compete with top contestants to see who can chirp her signature tunes better.

She should not sugar coat her comments. BUT at least she doesn't rip the contestents apart. She is respectful and kind. Simon on the other hand is a jerk who only says what he does for the shock value. It's pathetic and uncalled for. I will admit that some of the people who auditioned deserved some criticism, but he shouldn't have been so mean afterwards. You picked the top 32 yourself Simon, so why bash them now?

great sweet satisfying personality

Isn't she a sweetie pie. I never knew she sand until I saw her E True Hollywood Story. She is a good dancer but I was horrified when she kissed Simon. I lover her music my favorites are Strait Up or Opposites Attract.

Paula's the good cop of the triumverate. She had a great ride as a performer in the late-80s and has credibility. Very cute then, very cute now.

Paula doesn't have a clue and appears insincere by trying to sugar coat her comments. Nobody takes her seriously, anyway. Thank God for Simon!

first of all, the music biz isn't that kind and sweet--it doesn't spare artists' feelings like paula does. second, what qualifies her as a credible judge?! her vocal ability was subpar--what got her over was her dancing ability--much like janet and jlo...so, i ask...why is she a judge anyway?!

shes nice, but needs to be able to get her point across more effectively whether that means criticism but still there needs to a nice Judge and good on her for comforting the contestants

Okay, I saw Paula live back on the tour for Spellbound and I can tell you that this woman CAN sing (and she really did sing), dance, entertain and knows what she is talking about. A one hit wonder? Did you live in a cave? Anyhow, I think she adds class to the panel of judges.

I quite like paula. between the harsh Randy, and even harsher Simon, she's the only thing stopping some of these caontestants from bursting into tears.she is very tactful.

A pretty woman, but her voice sounds like she either smokes too much or has done too much self-induced vomiting....you be the judge on that one!

Its sweet she wants to be nice to everyone...but unless they were so horrible she couldn't deny it....she is too nice.

This woman is possibly the worst part of this show. While I appreciate her attempts to save contestants' feelings, she's just too much. She rarely gives any criticism and just caters to their egos. She is rarely correct on her observations and simply drives me insane with her too-nice, too-fake attitude.

Paula is my favorite judge. She always tells the truth, but she always tries to mix in some nice complements along with them. She's honest and down to Earth.
