I wholeheartedly agree with the suggestions here to vote OFF the WORST person each week rather than voting for the best person. I think the general consensus was that John Stevens was the worst but I was torn about who my absolute favorite was. I think because you vote for your favorite, the top three or four contestants actually share the viewers votes thus allowing the weaker links to slip through. It would be nice to see AI make some changes next year. I'm not sure I would have voted for Jennifer to go all the way but I definitely would have like to see her compete in the top four.

Jennifer is a terrific singer and I voted for her 90 times before I fell asleep last Tuesday and was horrified that she was voted off. What a loss! I believe that she will do well though as she really does have talent and she is a nice person!

Jennifer has the most powerful voice of all the Top 12. I am still very disappointed that she did not get enough votes to stay. People just took it for granted that she would get many votes and thus did not vote as many as they should.

Jennifer Hudson was THE BEST finalist in the AI3 competition - hands down. And while excuses can abound, the grim reality is that America chooses NOT to vote for talent this year. Jennifer is great! Her voice has that power that so many popular female singers lack these days. she starts off very low then that voice breaks free. Pure is how I would describe her range. She is the truth. She gives me goosebumps too. It is refreshing to hear her sing.

Yes, Jennifer had been doing better the last few weeks, but where was all the outrage when Amy got voted out instead of Jennifer. If it was all about race Jennifer would have been gone weeks ago. She is no where near as talented as LaToya or Diana. Everybody has there own tastes and just because they didn't like Jennifer doesn't mean it had anything to do with race. I think it was awful what they did to George, putting him in that position, but what about what the did to Diana, Jasmine, and John. I think it was disgusting the way they made them feel about getting more votes. Where is all the outrage for the way they were treated.

American Idol has blown it! How in the world could the three BEST preformers end up being the worst. Also, you can not convince me that John Stevens is better than Jennifer or any of the finalists that are left. This whole show is a joke! AI needs to chose another system of voting because this way is not working, someone is getting around the correct way of voting. I think that the panel judges, Randy, Paula & Simon should be the ONLY ones making the decisions.

Jennifer was not my favorite initially, but she got better every week. I thought that was one of the things this competition was about. Her last three performances blew me away, and she had developed a cute style after the bad outfits and hair from the semifinals. I will buy any CD she puts out. I hope John wins, and maybe Idol will do something to change this lame voting mess.

Really a bright personality, a more composed version of George, has an uncanny ability to take songs, infuse them with energy and make them her own, often uses inversions at the right moments, I hope that she makes it big in her post-idol heyday, because she certainly deserves it

Jennifer Hudson IS the American Idol. She has talent, class, style, personality, and charisma. I have been watching this show from the start and i believe that no other contestant have taken constructive criticism like Jennifer did and turned it into their favour. She is the only contestant that gives me goosebumps because she has a kind of energy that radiates from her voice that consumes you. She is full of passion and emotion, the kind of star-quality we see rarely. I have been listening to R&B and Pop music for over twenty years and i would put Jennifer Hudson in the same category as Gladys Knight, Regina Bell, Roberta Flack etcetera. For those who do not think that she has an excellent voice, the next time you hear her sing, JUST LISTEN! Then you will know what i am talking about. Hudson you rock and you can count on me to buy your CD!

Jennifer is no doubt one of the best singers in this competition. She Improves everyweek..her overall image also improves week after week during this show. Losing in the show will not eliminate her singing career, she has been heard by millions in the country. I have no doubt some records company will invest in her.

Jennifer was the BEST performer that they had. She emerged like a butterfly from it's cocoon during her time on American Idol. She is a true talent and I will be first in line to buy her CD and I am sure she will succeed. She has a wonderful spirit and exudes vibrant and positive energy. *****

Jennifer is incredible. I haven't heard a vocalist with as much power and style in a very long time. She is beautiful, charismatic, and real. Her honesty is too much for some to handle because they think an American Idol should just smile, sing, and be fake and happy all the time. How refreshing to see someone with talent and not afraid to go against the grain. She will be missed.

Jennifer Hudson could yell, but she couldn't sing. It's obvious she's had no training. She is also very unattractive. She doesn't have star quality. Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, etc. These people didn't become idols because they can sing well. Jennifer just doesn't have what it takes to be a star. If she releases a CD, it will be her last. Paula Abdul shouldn't be scolding the voters because they're voting on personality. With her chirpy singing voice, she'd still be a dance choreographer if it was all about the voice.

Jennifer Hudson IS a superstar whose talents exceed that powerful voice of hers. She is only limited by her own self. If she wants to accomplish anything, she will do it well.

Regardless of the American Idol voting travesty, Jennifer will be a superstar.

Jennifer Hudson was immensely talented. It is alarming if the american people dont vote for such talent. instead they vote for JOHN STEVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is nothing compared to the powerful voice of Jennifer Hudson. i think the voting was rigged. there is no way that the three best singers in the compotition were in the bottom three. it disgusts me. jennifer has incredible range. she should be brought back into the compotition, and JOHN STEVENS!!!!!!!! should get the boot. but that isnt going to happen and mr. notalentStevens wil win. I will not be watchin American Idol in the future.

There's no denying that Jennifer has a great voice but it stops there. She has nothing else that says star to me!

I too, feel so sad that Jennifer was voted off as she is one of the top three singers and I thought that it was tacky of AMERICAN IDOL to put poor George in the position of standing with the Winning group...did you see how upset George was???? It was an emotional ratings play and it was a rather cruel. I think that the only reason she did not get the votes is that some people just assume that the top singers have tons of votes and just vote for the underdogs...it is wrong to do that as one should always vote for who they think is best but I believe that is what a lot of AI watchers do.

This is the first season that I have tuned in to watch American Idol, and I will probably not watch another season of it again, until they change the voting. I cant understand or even fathom the idea, that John Stevens has more TALENT then Jennifer Hudson!!!! In a perfect world, that wouldnt even be capable!!! John Stevens sucks, and every week he thanks his family and friends and school mates for voting for him. I have faith enough in America that they honestly wouldnt vote for John because he is TALENTED!!! Jennifer should be put back onto the show, and John should be OUT!!! First to Wakeupworld and then everyone else: Just because a person is African-American does not mean they can sing better..and I don't care if you said MORE TIMES THAN NOT...what you said is more racist than anything that occured on American Idol Tuesday night... Just because she didn't win does not make all of America racist. What a total joke. And for those of you threatening to stop watching the show...you know you are just saying that. I am from Canada & love watching American Idol but was totally amazed (like most people) with this week's episode!! I would love a chance to vote!! What are people thinking?? I can't believe it is racism! I thought Latoya, Fantasia, George, and Jennifer would be the final four. I wonder if people thought that those 4 would be in for sure so most people voted for the Bubble People they wanted to see stay in & too many people thought that Diana, Jasmine, and who knows why John needed the votes and so they ended up with the most!! How did John Stevens even get into this competition. I think even he knows it's a miracle how he is still in it! Next time every one vote for Talent, not your family or friend or popularity, or John Stevens could be the next American Idol! Could you imagine that!! Latoya should win! It was also very rude of the show how they presented it like that. It was a total surprise how the votes ended up, but that was rude how they got George to stand with the winning group??

Being a sports fan fanatic,I accidently saw my first American Idol show 4 weeks ago. Since seeing the show for the first time, I've now become an AI junky looking forward each week to view each episode. After last night results, I can't possibly see how the three performers in the lower group got there. The three best singers were the performers which ended up in the lower group. Jennifer Hudson has had the best performances in the past two week. What a terrible injustice when the show is suppose to be eliminating the weakest singers in route to selecting the best. I don't have the answer, but some serious changes must be made to keep the competition fair. Popularity contest should be confined to high yearbooks. It's an outright shame that such a great singer should be eliminated in this manner. I'm absolutely sure the judges would totally agree with my observation.

I have not expressed my opinion here before, but now I feel I have to say something, because what happened was a real shame. I loved Jennifer from the beginning, and really admired the way she was growing and maturing. I also liked her personality. It suprises me that some people did not like her attitude. She looked shy in an engaging kind of way. She clearly wanted to win the compition, but that's a good, not a bad, attitude. I was looking forward to the final stage where the three best singers would battle it out. What a show that would have been. But no: they're all in the bottom. Whatever happened to those voters? But I have a little explanation for Stevens' survival. It was Simon's insensitive jibe that he reminded him of Stan Laurel. Stevens was mediocre at best, and Randi and Paula managed to express that in a professional and objective way. Simon, being what he is, was unnecessarily rude. That's way Stevens won people's sympathy. Right after that stupid remark, I knew that red-haired crooner will get through, and he did. Still this does not explain the three divas being in the bottom. Racism? I don't want to believe that. But is there any other explanation.

My Tueday and Wednesday nights are my own once again. Idol is the only program I bother to watch and I only bothered to watch to hear Jennifer. She possesses what could become a major voice--her deep vocal coloration, degree of control and range add up to a magnetic result. Jennifer doesn't need Idol. It's really just another Fox show people-- the disgustingly misleading way the April 20 results were disclosed proves that. Great singers sell. When Jennifer records I'll be buying.

I think Jennifer has a great voice as well as Latoya and Fantasia. However, I have never liked Jennifer from the very beginng. I think she tries way to hard to be Whitney. She had no personailty. I couldn't connect with her at all. As far as the other two divas I think Latoya is the best singer in the group but I don't like her personality either. She seems stuck up. I have never like Fantasia. She can sing there is no doubt about that, but that voice, wow, it's hard on the ears! A don't we already have a Macy Gray? I don't think the voting had anything to do with race. Why hasn't George ever been in the bottom three? If it was about race he would be there too. I personally like George the best. He is a great singer and his personality is infectious. I can't help but smile when he's on the screen. I like John Stevens I think he has a unique voice but I don't think he belongs in this competion. Diana is good but she's not like the others and Jasmine is good as well but again not in the same league. What the judges said about this not being a popularity contest it's not but it is. You can be the best singer or actor whatever but if your personailty sucks or people just don't connect with you, your not going to go far, and thats my problem with Jennifer. And the way that I look at it, if she is such a great singer and she's meant to be a star she'll get a record contract and I'm sure she will and I'm sure she'll do just fine. It's not like her life is over because she lost on American Idol, if anything her career is just beginning. This controversy will draw people to her that may not have ever watched her on American Idol. She'll be just fine with out the American Idol trophy. Just look at Clay, he didn't win but he's sold more then both of the previous winners combined. There is something to be said about that.

I have to disagree that this is a race issue. Personally I think that too many people assumed that LaToya, Fantasia, and Jennifer were a shoe in. personally voted for an hour for these three ladies and Diana too. Although everyone seems to agree that John Stevens is a 'nice guy' the truth is that he has no spark and limited abilities. Neither he or Jasmine should be here at this point. Once you consider these factors the only thing that made the difference between our 'bottome two' is weight discrimination. Jennifer doesn't have an attitude that she doesnt deserve she has a on-camera handicapp because she hasn't lost the last of her weight. THATS THE TRUTH and I think she is beautiful inside and out. I WILL BUY HER CD THE MINUTE IT COMES OUT. and believe me it will
