His first performance of Tiny Dancer was amazing, after that he showed an admirable boldness on stage, but never really chose the right songs

I hate it when he gets bashed, because the show is about entertainment, and JPL is a true entertainer. Some of the other acts can get so boring, but you always knew you were gonna have fun with his. Being an American Idol means more than just a good voice, although I do think he has a great one. JPL takes risks and puts on a show, and thats what its about! Rock on, dude.

Jon Peter Lewis is this unexplainable combination between adorable angel and sexy wildchild! He is so unique and irresistible. When you catch the effect, you understand!

JPL is entertaining and exciting! Truly unique. He was the victim of all the pressure (which he admitted) that comes week after week on AI and we have yet to see how great he can really sing. He's been good, but we ain't seen nothing yet!! And American Idol is not just about having a great singing voice, it is about being entertaining, interesting, unique and respected, an Idol is a role model, someone looked up to. Jon has all those qualities. He has all around talent. And he rocks!

JPL has a great voice and a great style, and he is nice and charming as well! Definitely #1 in my book!

he's just okay--he needs vocal training and a choreographer. he's a nut on stage. yes, he has personality and that's why america likes him. AI material--not, unless this IS a popularity contest. he is subpar compared to the talent on this years sho--yes, the divas rule and george's tone is awesome. JPL stayed way too long; he was long overdue for the BOOT!

I was so shocked, I ended up throwing something at my TV. Left a crack on it too. Something is seriously wrong with the voting system this year. I'm going to miss him deeply on AI, however, he has what it takes to keep on going. He is so down to earth REAL, and goes with the flow. He makes the music his own and shares it with the world.

It has nothing to do with being helpful as to let Fox know we are catching on to their game. Jon's style is unique. Brings the dancing and songs right into your living room..,

Complete rubbish, he can't hold a note. I can't stand to listen to the TV when he performs. Wake up america, use your brain, dont just eat up everything corporate america wants to feed you. He has a nice appearance on stage if you mute the sound, but god damn, if I buy a CD its for LISTENING, not watching.

JPL made watching American Idol fun; who says that the American Idol has to be some bombastic diva blowing out their lungs and not a good singer with a fun-loving streak that made people laugh and smile with him? JPL was too awesome for words.

Jon Peter Lewis has a voice I can listen to over and over again. Each time I hear his songs I admire his range and versatility afresh. I'm going to mention just one example. Listen for the or in This Old Heart of Mine in don't know whether I'm commin OR going. Such emotion and power in a simple word. He's also charming and intelligent and truly someone we can look up to.

JPL's gonna be a huge star.. Keep your eyes open and you will see. There is just something about him that makes me think he just may be the second Elvis. And yes I was around when elvis was alive and remember it well.

Jon Peter Lewis has a special quality that makes him so appealing. I was a fan from the moment I saw his audition in Hawaii and he sang Crazy Love. He is the most entertaining contestant AI has ever had. It was awful the night he was cut..I cried for hours. I love his voice and quirky dancing, and being as adorable as he is doesn't hurt either! But this is not the end, AI was just the beginning for JPL.

Okay lets be serious. Why wasn't he gone last week?? If I'm being honest, he is terrible!!! I'm glad he's gone. Now if we can just rid ourselves of the other John the competition would be a much beter place.

Completely horrible. This guy has no talent. What is keeping him from being kicked is popularity. All the little girls think he is cute (which he is not). He looks like a complete idiotic dork. I wouldn't be more happier if he was completely boo-ed onstage and gets dumped out of the competition.

after seeing re-runs of the show, he gave 1 solid performance (drift away). that's it... he should give up the dance act and go home

i LOVE jpl soo much!!!hes sooo cute!!! and yea hes got an unusual voice but its awesome!! plus his dancing is great! jpl is my hero! his only weakness is he looks a lil nervous somtimes but hey we all get nervous! i love jon peter lewis!!!!

JPL isn't always consistent, but I love watching him perform. I think he has a good voice, and if he got a coach to work out the little things, it could be potentially one of the best. Just listen to his audition clip, it's amazing.

Jon Peter Lewis is the main reason I'm watching American Idol this season. For those of you who say he can't sing, listen to his audition again and see if you still feel the same way.

I don't think any of them have it to be the next American Idol. Out of all the men, I'm most impressed with Jon Peter Lewis. His voice isn't great, but it's unique. He's also the best looking guy out of all of them. If he doesn't win(which I doubt he will) he could probably get a record deal anyway. Update: I'm not impressed with John Peter Lewis anymore. He's gotten worse. His voice is out of range, and he's almost as worse as John Stephens at standing like a bump on a log. He doesn't have what it takes to be a music star. If I heard him on the radio I'd flip the station.

UPDATE: I am still appalled at how many horrid male finalists that are left on the show. Where did all the talent go? JPL is obviously only still in the finals because of his looks. He can barely sing, can barely dance, and seems a little to stuck on himself...he will probably become the idol if he keeps acting like that.

regardless of how he looks(and I know some of you look for that sort of thing in your American Idol), to be realistic, you can't hear good looks on the radio! I like his voice, but he is inconsistent in his performances, and I love his energy, but he is a terrible dancer. He's an okay all-rounder, but not particularly good at any one thing. That's why he always leaves me unimpressed. Ask yourself, if all of the finalists sang behind a screen so you couldn't see them, would you pick Jon Peter Lewis as your Idol?

Out of 3 seasons of American Idol, JPL is the sexiest guy ever on the show. There is just something really special about him, and when they show the clips where he is working with the kids and talk about his goal of being a pediatrician - oh boy, I just die. If I wasn't married, I'd definitely find a way to meet him and ask him to dinner or something. I hope he wins, but even if he doesn't, hands down this will be the first time I will ever buy anything from an AI winner or finalist!! And the dancing was just fun stuff - I bet if you saw him in a club he would get his groove on. You cannot love music that much and be truly unable to shake it.

This guy is an excellent entertainer. His voice may not be the best of the bunch but he does have that X factor.
