I don't understand why so many of you have made comments based on if you like Fantasia or Jasmine, or how many made negitive comments about the other idols. Season 3 is long over folks. I give LaToya 5 Stars, based on the fact I have never seen her performance faulter. She has been right on the money each and every time. You never heard off key about LaToya. Latoya was by far the best talent in season 3 on american idol . i am so looking foward to her cd on september 20th where she will show us all what a great talent she is .

LaToya had a great voice and a good performer. She was consistent in her performances and way above average. I just never really was able to connect with her. She was cold and it was hard to like her like a Fantasia, Diana or Jennifer. But she has one of the best voices of that year.

LaToya was phenomenal. When she got the boot, I was positive that AI had finally jumped the shark. I guess everyone believed that everyone else was going to vote for her -- and forgot to actually call in.

If AI was based solely on who could sing the best, hands down she's the rightful winner. BUT she didn't have much of a personality and like it or not that factors into the music biz and what sells.

To all of those people out there who don't have a clue about real talent..read and learn!!! As a singer, pianist, violinist and as a paid performer myself I feel that I am quite qualified to speak on matters regarding music. LATOYA LONDON is the most amazing talent to ever grace the Americam Idol stage. Yes, Fantasia had major personality but as Simon pointed out many times....it is a singing contest not a popularity contest nor a freaking beauty pageant, where everything but real talent is highly regarded. This doesn't come as a surprise to me because look at the state of our music industry? It is bombarded with mediocre singers that need every piece of studio equipment to make them sound just okay. ex. Britney, Hillary, Janet, Ashanti, Brandy and so on and so on. Anyway, back to the true American Idol Lotoya that showed poise, elegance and true vocal artistry week after week. Of course most of the youngsters that don't know one bit about human behavior wouldn't know the difference between class and arrogance. Latoya showed all of America week after week that she didn't have to be some show pony to win votes. She was always in top form and in top character. Fantasia has many different colors to her voice that will take her very far but she still doesn't have the vocal skill of Latoya, Diana Degarmo is immensely talented for her young years but she still needs some refining to be able to do it night after night like Latoya, Jasmine showed lots of promise on a few shows but is in serious need of consistency and a vocal coach to show her how to breath so her pitch doesn't continue to go flat. Jennifer is an amazong talent as well but she needs to learn a bit about humility and bowing out gracefully. She can get some tips from Latoya on this. Nevertheless, she has a super voice but I am not quite sure if we want all of our music to sound as if Mahalia Jackson is singing it. Don't get me wrong? I love Mahalia but I don't want to hear her singing R&B, Pop, Rock or anything else considered mainstream. In conclusion, Latoya was the best, is the best and our music industry is in dire need of people like her to bring skill back to the forefront of music making.

Latoya London was also another good singer on that show. She sang with strong range in that competition. I also think that she will do just as well in the music business if she's promoted right.

If LaToya could've handled being one of the better ones there without letting everyone know that she knew she was the best, I would give her a higher rating. She has a beautiful voice, and has a lot of talent, but she always struck me of being the judges favorite, and she let everyone know that she knew that.

THE best singer on AI3. Like Jennifer, I don't think she even needed to go on AI to become recognized. Her beautiful voice wowed me every week, and I honestly believe she's a better singer than Fantasia will ever be. I think she'll have a very successful recording career real soon.

A good singer but that's it. All but 2 or 3 of the contestants were good singers. She needed to deliver more personality, too. Extremely over-hyped and overrated. None, and I mean NONE of the people that have ever been contestants on this show have been the second-coming that LaToya was turned into by the fans and the media. Just slightly above average.

I think she has a beautiful voice, and hope she releases a Cd!

Latoya should have definitely won (Not taking anything away from Fantasia, though). Latoya has a beautiful voice, the whole look, and she definitely has the attitude and personality, despite what everyone else says. I honestly believed she showed America her true self. She displayed class and style on every episode and in every song she sang, she did it from the heart. I see her as a very self confident person in her own skin, and being self confident is not arrogance. She was very humble and appreciative with very comment made by the judges and I'm even sure the comments made by other critics, whether they were negative or positive. So, In my book, I am giving it up for LaToya London, as the real American Idol.

I didn't understand the hype about this girl. Sometimes shrill, sometimes loud, sometimes boring. Over-rated.

She should have been the winner! She showed she had a lot of class and poise. Just because she didn't yell and jump all over the place, people thought she was arrogant. I saw a whole other side.

A 4.5. I really thought she would be in the final two. It was rotten she got voted off last week at 4. she did not deserve it. She took it like a trouper and seems real optimistic about her future. She has a beautiful singing voice and a lot of talent. I wish the best for her.

Jasmine, is a really great person. Not only Hawaii loves her but the whole of America, they just feel its her time to go, she has already proven herself. I usually watch American Idol with my kids, and its amazing how they really cheer for Jasmine she has a very strong appeal with the kids, and they remember her songs like Mr. Melody last tuesday, my kids keeps singing them all day. Critiques might not like her but its not them who would be buying her CDs. America just let her go since they don't want to hear all these negative comments anymore about her, people could be very hurtful sometimes, and she does not deserve that or everyone else. All these girls are doing all their best just to put up a good show, we could at least repay them with kind words.

It is finally time to quit carrying on about LaBoring London...she lost, she's boring, has no personality, she lost fair and square, so quit whining about it already...

Nice voice and great stage presence, but lacking personality...soul in her singing.

Has a great voice and knows how to use it. She did get cut but she deserved to stay around for another round. Would make a great duet singer with Ruben Studdard. Maybe even a great relationship. Deserves exactly what she got but now that she got cut she will create even more popularity and shock that she didnt win. I expect about 2 CD's in her career 1 successful and the other not so grand.

I was totally shocked on Wednesday night when Latoya got voted off. She was the best singer with grace style poise classy and a voice that would blow you away. I wish they would bring her back on and take Jasmine off because Jasmine is a horrible singer and cannot be compared to Latoya. I know alot of people had problem calling in and that might have been the problem. I live in Hawaii but certainly not a fan of Jasmine. I hope that all my votes for latoya went to her and not Jasmine because a few times I called 02 for Latoya they said thanks for voting for contestant #1 and i know the number i punched was 02. So that really upset me alot. I just hope they are not doing any monkey business over here. Else they will definitely have to do a recount.

La Toya is a singer yes she can carry a tune and she is an absolute belter but there is something about her that is very much wrong... yeah she's way too confident ... too confident that she will win american idol this year... im betting on fantasia because unlike la toya she sings well at the same time she has an amazing connection with the audience.

A great singer and performer, 5 stars if the idols to be are rated on talent, poise and control over the LIVE situation... She prob din make it owing to the lack of connection with the larger masses, so 4 stars overall for idol/personality appeal. Strategically speaking, she prob got voted out as a result of 'vote-sharing' with Fantasia last nite (esp among the Afro-Americans). Let's hope America vote wisely and by talent the next round.

I think it goes without saying that LaToya was the most classy, not to mention the most talented person in the competition. It was horrible to see her get voted off, but you know what? She's going to make it no matter what. America made a HUGE mistake, but we haven't seen the last of her.

It's such crap that she was voted off last night instead of Jasmine. America really doesn't know what true talent is. Those stupid Hawaiians need to realize that this isn't a competition to see who can call the number on the screen the most times, it's a competition about who is the best singer on that stage, and it sure as hell isn't Jasmine.

La Toya has the strongest most powerful voice. She has the look, style & charisma. Because she is so professional, she knows how to carry herself. She is the entertainer for 2004. I know, & millions of others know, we will see & hear La Toya once again. When her CDs hit the charts. Don't give up hope La Toya! Go after your dream!

La Toya, I don't know if you ever read these websites....but if you do, I just want you to know that you don't need American Idol....and I may never watch the stupid show again after this. In my opinion, you've already won. Elton John has already recognized you as a big talent. You handled yourself with such grace on stage even when you were voted off...and your voice is amazing. I think your being voted off was just wrong. I think America is so much for the under dog that they tend to vote with their hearts rather than their minds. It is really obvious to me and I am sure to many others that you are going to make it and make it well in the world of entertainment. The only problem I can see you had was being to good. You presented yourself as a professional in an amature competition. Always hold your head high and keep doing what you are doing. You are a pleasure to watch and listen to.
