I've been dipping for 35 of my 47 years. I started with Skoal because I must have been a little girl back then. One day I got a whiff of Cope and that was it. Nowadays, I prefer the long cut. There isn't much in life finer than a solid dip of fresh Cope. I hate it when I can't find it fresh. I will quit doing business with a store if they can't keep fresh Cope on hand.

It's all poison, irrespective of the brand.
truthbetold64 10/01/2008
First I'd like to say that there's nothing more satisfying than a fresh moist plug of Copenhagen resting comfortably between my lip and gum ... been dipping for 24+ years now ... I can still remember my fist time dippin' ... any other brand, just doesn't satisfy like 'Cope does. Only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because of the price and how sometimes it is dry (for which I add a little bit of water to moisten it up). By the way, Cope615, it's obvious that you're from the hills of Tennessee ... seing that you must have been sweatin' pretty hard to write ... let alone read.
Grizme136 09/30/2008
Cope is my seccond pick. the problem with it is its hard to find a realy fresh can and then its way expensive. im a grizzly man myself.
ILIKETOPARTY37 09/25/2008
im not a bid fan of the copenhagen long cut or black flavors but hte cope smooth hickory and whiskey blend are the shit
chinoredneck 09/24/2008
copenhagen longcut is the best i use to chew snuff but it tears up my gums to much longcut is the way to go
redmaninacan 09/22/2008
copenhagen whiskeyblend is great not my favorite dip but in my top 4
wakawaka74 09/21/2008
the only thing i ever dip is the longcut copenhegan, the only way to go. the only problem i have is that i bought a can of whiskey blend and i swear when i dip it i cant get the smell of cow shit out of my nose.
Tripp70657 09/11/2008
Copenhagen is a pretty good dip I wish they made a wintergreen but Skoal is my shit.
smokey422 09/10/2008
Copenhagen is the king of all dips, there's nothing else with the flavor or satisfaction it gives. So why only four stars? Price! It's more than twice as high as some of the cheaper dips but not twice as good (even if it is the best). I think they would sell a lot more Cope if they dropped the price by $1.50 or more. I can't believe that somebody's not making a killing on this stuff!
diplover789 09/04/2008
i wasnt very happy about the can i bought today because all the tobacco was really dry. if you get it a little wet with your spit its okay but the can i got was made in june and it september now. but another then this i love copenhagen.
cumsalotin69 08/13/2008
fucking sweet
CarrollCountyK id 08/05/2008
I admit that I use this stuff when they run out of grizz because of the Canadian blockade. Things get awfully tense here in Carroll County and you gotta dip something. Mix a teaspoon of cope with a coffee can of ammonium nitrate, three cups of diesel fuel and an appropriate cap and you can blow out a huge stump!

How about a female opinion: I've been dipping Cope for over 23 years, my sister-in-law got me started and we've both dipped Cope for over 20+ years, I started with it and have dipped it up until a week ago, I've always found it to be of great quality & excellent taste. However as many of you have pointed out it is just too expensive so my sister-in-law and myself are now trying other brands, she picked Grizzly and I'm still looking around, I have a feeling as prices change I will change from one brand to another. As a faithful Cope user its a shame they will not lower their prices which I suspect will lead to more people changing brands and there will nolonger be a large enough market for Cope to continue marketing it.... It's such a shame almost makes you wanta cry... I guess all good things do come to an end.
gotarheels355 07/27/2008
i really dont like the stuffway too over priced and tastes like shithusky is better

Italianguy67 07/04/2008
Hello!! Do you know some shops who can ship Copenhagen to Italy, for my personal use? Online stores don't ship!! Many thanks for help. Max
GrizzlyStraigh tMate 06/28/2008
its really good yea but thats not my problem with it its too expensive and grizzly snuff taste EXACTLY the same and its a whole $1.60 a can here compared to copes $5.00 and up
ppolcyn 06/24/2008
God awful. Smells like dog crap.
gerudo666 06/21/2008
copenhagen is fuckin amazing. ive been dippin for 4 years and i started with this wonderful stuff. i got a buzz so hard i wrecked my bike and lost it all! but then i got back up, put another chew in, kept riding, and of course puked. but that never stopped me. now thats all i chew besides skoal fine cut wintergreen once in a while. i love this snuff and im gonna be chewing it for porbably the rest of my days on erth...
Piston91 06/18/2008
Cope plain and simple is overpriced your paying for the brand name the flavor is good i wont disagree with any one on that point but it lasts 30 minutes and with 6 bucks a tin that just isn't worth it to me. Grizzly is cheaper is better tasting at least their straight is better tasting and it is 2 bucks less for a tin plus u save more buying it in a roll then u do buying cope in a roll.
grazzlestiks69 06/14/2008
COPE long cut straight is awesome but overpriced.. i love it though.
TellEmWhyYouMa d 06/11/2008
Too expensive for what you get. I can dip a can of Grizzly Snuff for half the price of Copenhagen and it tastes like Copenhagen. The American Snuff company makes some good dip! Dip Grizzly Snuff dummies!
grizzdipper 05/14/2008
yea it's a good dipp but it's EXPENSIVE AS HELL. thier new stuff is good, but what i liked the most was copey black. thats good shit
dave2008 05/06/2008
If you're gonna do it. Copehagen is by far the best tasting and most satisfying.very relaxing
grizzman387 04/25/2008
i love dip im in love with it id would die wit one in my lip
OceanSoul 04/22/2008
Copenhagen moist snuff is one of the worst tastes I have ever had in my mouth. I tried Copenhagen Black too, which tasted okay and the mid-cut was good. I don't like snuff and don't use it, and if you don't want your kids to use it give them a big dip of Copenhagen, because it is an acquired taste that most people will not take the time to acquire.
CoonKicker22 04/12/2008
cope snuff all the way! beats any other chew out there!
Levi27 04/04/2008
Ive been on cope reg since i was 14, here in canda a can has 15g where in the states its around 32g i figger, and i pay $7.50-$8.50 a can dependin on where you buy it, but my lord i love it. Its the one thing thats always been there for me. If i was nippling up at the rigs swing a sledge with mud up to my knees, or out on the lake casting a line, or even layin in to the old lady shes been there for me and i 'preciate, but it certainly is an expensive, passion. haha
themasterusmc 03/26/2008
long cut
ESCURO 03/24/2008
cope long cut straight is fucking nasty. bad, cope, bad!
Lanham 03/23/2008
I've been dipping Copenhagen for the past 22 years. Since switching over from Kodiak when I was 17 I've never had another brand between my cheek and gum. Lately though I have been considering trying some of the cheaper alternatives. Copenhagen is just too expensive. One hundred dollars a month is just too much to be spending on a bad habit.
thwrmth 03/13/2008
"Copenhagen, makes me feel good!" Come on how many other chews is there a song dedicated too? The eldest, time tested, wisest, smoothest, worst-for-ya, best time in a can you can buy.
crazyirish 03/13/2008
Copenhagen is the shit...I've tried like every brand and none of them can compete with cope. It gives u a good buzz gets u feeling great..unlike the others where u gotta fill up your whole bottom lip and top and all around just to get a small buzz. Nothing better than a dip of cope.
belacman 03/11/2008
not good at all
FINECUTCHEWER 03/04/2008
THE BEST SHIT EVER MADE
slagore 02/26/2008

DevDog 02/19/2008
I Love to pack chews and Cope is the best chew that i ever had. Hands down it beats Grizz.
Grizzlydipper 02/19/2008
Doesnt beat grizzly
Mr.Tuner 02/14/2008
smells and tastes great but it give me a very bad headake!!!! nice and strong though!
DippingFireman 347 02/13/2008
god ole cope...nothing beats it...only thing that comes close is grizzly...ive dipped cope LC and whisky and hickory...hickory was good...kinda tasted like bacon...whisky was nice...smooth and stayed together well in my lip
haibacht 02/05/2008
Black is the only Cope I truly love, the whiskey blend and Smooth Hickory are just not a good replacement. I cannot figure out why they would stop making it. Most the stores I shop at had a hard time keeping it on the shelf. Now I am searching other brands.
HybriDesign 01/31/2008
I went from smoking to dipping, and honestly I find the price to be just fine (Cheaper; 1 pack of smokes: $4.00 * day - 1 Can of Cope: $6.00 * week) And I like all of cope's flavors, but in the end it still comes back to good ol long cut (sometimes 50/50 with snuff, can't do full out snuff, always manage to swallow it) All I can say is Skoal is for people who can't admire the true natural taste of smokeless tobacco. Grizzly's just for those nicotine fiends (*raises hand*), but cope sits right in the middle, decent amount of nicotine, beautiful smell and flavor, and no tooth-rotting sugars.
zfsefhsgjnfkdg fd 01/27/2008
I like what copenhagen did with the new cans. The bottoms of the old cans used to be cardboard and the dip would dry out all the time, which made me dislike Cope. Now they are plastic and lock in moisture better, which is a plus. But I have 2 problems with copenhagen, the first one is obvious. Price. Its way too damn expensive. The second one is that it's not strong enough. I appreciate that they don't put tons of fiberglass in there, but I don't even get a buzz. You guys need to put processed nicotine in there, that is if those FDA bitches will let you!
aaron2785 01/16/2008
I hate the new cope line its nasty tastes cheap nothing like a true copenhagen dip .
drkseph 01/16/2008
Cope tastes like crap, its always too dry and too fine, even the long cut. And the hickory and whiskey flavors suck.
decalod85 01/05/2008
Gives you cancer. Then you die. Oh, they put fiberglass in it too.
Fladipper 12/21/2007
i don't know what has changed in the new Cope cans. I have dipped regular straight cut and snuff (fine) for yrs. Then the can advertisement changed but I was told it is the same plain Copenhagen long cut. It tastes like they put sweetener in it or some kind of mild mint flavor in it. And the smell is horrid. Like rubber boots with a hint of mint. Maybe it was the black everyone is talking about that I got all the time. I'm with those that will quit if the black doesn't come back.
clayton3216 12/20/2007
whiskey blend is definitly worth the price i just started chewing again since the cigarette pack prices are going up to $9.00 a pack & plus chew lasts longer anyway and tastes better to i like the whiskey its not to strong none of its to strong to me
jdal 12/15/2007
It is great but to damn high in price
