Better options for the jobseeker. Easier to select or exclude particular employers , geographic distance, or "non-traditional" (con man) listings.

Career Builder helped me find out what the perfect job for me was. I did not have any idea where I wanted to go with my life until Career Builder showed me the right way. It was easy, informative, and fun! You can not go wrong with such a well-developed site.

According to the Workforce Magazine, for the past two years CareerBuilder.com has ranked number one among job sites for overall traffic and popularity. CareerBuilder has more than 1.5 million job listings, more than 250,000 companies posting jobs, and over 2 million resumes submitted. This site pulls job listings from the pages of the Tribune and Knight Ridder newspaper conglomerates, so online search might bring you unique results, especially if you are looking for job in major metropolitan areas served by these newspapers. CareerBuilder offers job searchers a free account for resume and cover letter posting, email job alert notices, job search advice, and customized job search capabilities according to the multiple criteria: location, job title, key words, and specific industry. List of job search communities and detailed information on the coming career fairs are included as well. Site might be characterized by the strong presence in US, on the international arena he is just starting to build its network. Another significant disadvantage is that employers have to pay a premium to search resume database, with different fees structures with and without positions posting.

Awful. About 90% of the jobs posted in my hometown are listed as Robert Half or Apple One. The salary listing are also unreasonably low. For example, a staff accounting position that requires a minimum of 5 years experience pays a measly $35K/year. I have no experience and got an interview with a public accounting firm that was willing to pay $45-50K per year. Skip this site. It is a waste of your time.

I have seen maybe one or two job postings on this site that I have taken a second look at. Other than that, my mailbox is usually filled with work from home scams.

CareerBuilder's a pretty standard job-hunting site--they don't particularly stand out. I do appreciate, however, that most of their jobs aren't from temp agencies (much like monster.com's), so that's a plus, at least.
