Dice.com is the good job site for positions in the information technology industry. Many reviewers like its interface and admit that industry-specific niche sites generally work better than mega-sites in matching up employers with job seekers. Dice.com also offers career advice on writing resumes and getting IT certifications.

This is a great place to go if you want a tech job at 30-50% less than the going rate. Most of the recruiters there are a waste of your time. Invest a day or more setting up your account, and the emails will flood in- all of them lowballing your rate and asking you to move to some really lousy part of the country. Most are form letters with poor english, usable only by those desperate for an H1B. Never use your home phone number or you will be bombarded at all hours of the day by a lot of very rude recruiters who speak lousy English.

Be careful before you sign a commitment as an employer with Dice.com. Their rates are steep (as are all job boards), they make no promises, and you'll get no sympathy if you try it out and it isn't working for you. I guess they're too scared of people misusing their service to be worried about a customer.

They also don't give you a hands on preview -- only a guided tour -- which doesn't give you much of an idea of whether they'll have the kind of candidates you're looking for or not. I signed up and realized within a few minutes that they didn't have resumes for the skills I needed in our area. Of course, after complaining I essentially got a flippant response from customer service and accusations that it was my fault. I had to massage their egos in the hopes of getting something from them, but in the end, they had my money and seemed like they didn't care if they got any repeat business from me or not.

Many of their competitors will let you try out the service for a quick spin before demanding money. I'd recommend trying those out before going to dice.
