Very good all around player- ran well, hit with power, could hit .300 etc.. before the knees went, and he put up some fine years with Montreal and the Cubs, also had cameos with Boston and the Marlins. Classy guy from all accounts, though I don't know how he won the '87 MVP. He had a good year on the surface, but some guys had better ones and The Cubs finished in last place anyway. May make the Hall someday.

In his prime he could hit, run, and throw. He finished his career with over 400hrs and over 1500rbis. He appeared in 8 all-star-gamea and won 7 gold-gloves.
