I would really give Beaker a 4.5. I always felt sympathetic to Beaker Mr. Bunsens honeydews lab assistant. He always had the bad things happen to him. He could only protest by making meep meep sounds.  beaker always had to be part of the experiment poor guy.

What a cute character - and as 1/2 of the Muppet Lab duo, I have to give him 5 stars. Plus, he only "meeped" - never spoke another word. That's the kind of lab partner I'd want! His sad face is so cute too - oh how I love the muppets.

Pity rating. He works in Muppet Labs with Dr. Honeydew.

This guy was HILARIOUS. My favorite character from the Muppets. Whenever Beaker was around, things would blow up, mayhem everywhere--what kind of kid wouldn't like that? Plus, he couldn't talk.....just a funny guy.

What else could you give Beaky except 5 out of 5. Although Bunsen was always mean to him I know Beaky stayed because he loved the blind twit, and girls which of us hasn't been in a relationship like that at some point. I love Beaker and if I could I would be Mrs Beaker, buts thats just the 6 year old in me.

I just love Beaker even though he never really actually says anything. He's so funny, very cute and always suffers happily when dealing with Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.

Beaker is my hero! Inteligent, cute, loyal,... what more could you want in a man. He always knew disaster was about to strike, he always tried to pass on his comments and warnings to management, who always ignored him, and then he loyally went forward and did the job anyway. Ack! I became Beaker! By the By his noise was more of a Me MEE than a meep meep. (At least that is how I heard it.)

The most high-strung muppet by far. Just sort of did what he was told by the sadistic Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, which invariably resulted in Beaker being electrocuted or blown up. A humorous look at a life lived in abject terror.

You've got to wonder about a guy who can't talk and hangs out with a blind scientist week in and week out, invariably being blown up by an experiment gone awry... he's sort of representative of that part of our psychology that keeps us working at a horrible job or tolerating a bad relationship... come to think of it, once things get bad, don't beaker's signature characteristics (hair standing on end, eyes bugged out, communicating through high-strung meeping) just physically represent what we all do mentally in bad situations?

Meep! Meep meep! That was cute for a bit, and you have to feel sorry for him, but there really isn't much to his character. He's just a scardy cat and a crash test dummy.

How can you not love Beaker? with his bug eyes and high-pitched "me-me!"

Beaker is another one of my favorites. Dr. Bunsen was not very nice to him and Beaker usually ended up with fried hair and a burnt face (possibly due to the fact that Dr. Honeydew did not have any eyes). He is the ultimate sidekick..he did what he was told without any backtalk..at least that anyone could understand..and was always good for a laugh.

Yeah, major props to Beaker, the great scientist sidekick! At my sister's 7th birthday party, my Dad and I performed a card trick where I impersonated Beaker. Never before had I received such a positive reaction from a crowd of girls -- and, actually, it would be another 11 years before I could again point to anything comparable.

My God, I forgot all about Beaker the lab assistant. When I was little, I thought that his name was Beaker because of his big nose. Now I get it that his name has many meanings that were unbeknownst to me as a 10 year old. What was the hilraious noise that he would make? It was like 'meep meep meep' or somehting (I know that sounds like the Roadrunner sound, but I cannot remember, can somebody please leave a comment realying what his sound was?). This guy was so high strung. He would be a classic candidate for Prozac these days. Poor dude was always getting his head blown up with the Doctor Honeydue's whacky experiments. He always had a minor role in the grand scheme of the show, but I just knew that when he was in a skit, it was going to be a great one.
