Recently on HARDBALL the host Chris Matthews referred to President Bush's National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice as the adminsistration's BUTLER. I couldn't have said it any better except maybe AUNT JEMIMA.

I thought she would be a thoughtful, intelligent addition. Alas, just another yes woman to do the King's bidding. It must be embarresing to know that everyone knows you're making a fool of yourself. Can't wait to read the tell-all books bound to come out.

I don't really have too big of an issue with Condoleezza Rice. She's only part of the problem. Most partisans like to include her in the group of radical idealogues that currently enjoy places of power in the Bush White House, but I honestly believe that she is not really is not the one responsible for the path that President Bush has taken us with regards to foreign affairs and national security. Despite her unusually close relationship with Bush, she largely appears to be a follower. As abichara1882 has constantly pointed out, she is a relative lightweight in the field of national security, especially with regards to terrorism. I say that she is a follower, like Powell, primarily because it is easy to get intimidated by the Bush group. Cheney and Rumsfeld obviously have the highest hand at the Bush conference table. Powell, despite his own military experience, is known for his loyalty. He has served both Democratic and Republican presidents loyally and has said himself that he will faithfully support his commander-in-chief. Rice is largely the same. She clearly was not prepared for this huge responsibility and certainly is not in the same league as Rumsfeld and Cheney, which unforunately impedes her ability to an effective national security advisor.
