It sure can! Learning something new everyday can increase your brain power and expand your knowledge. When someone asks you a question about something, would it make you happy that you know the answer?

This is a cure for the common curse of boredom.Expanding ones experience keeps the mind strong and the soul joyous.Contrary to the popular saying-you CAN teach an old dawg new tricks!(as long as they're willing).

Not so much a search for facts and figures, but the how and when to bend knowledge to your advantage is a big thing for me. Nice to know a lot, even better to know how to use it. :)

Stop learning, start dying. It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

May not be considered essential for some, but essential for me. Learning outside of the classroom counts.

I 'm not as young as some of the kids on this site, but I still love to learn. I may not go to school anymore, but the world is my classroom.

Certainly one of my great loves, and this truly does make me happy. Doesn't appear to be for everyone though--their loss.
