I was AMAZED to find that I ENJOYED the show. Its surprisingly interesting.

Somehow you can get hooked on this show. Hate the language, but it's nice to see a rock singer who really loves his wife and is caring. It also shows the state of mind he is in and how drugs have deteriorated his personality. It's interesting.

What the hell happened to Ozzy??? I remember when he was the Prince of Darkness! rocking with Black Sabbath, biting the heads of bats and doves, making some good rock and roll songs like "bark at the moon, crazy train, no more tears. Now he has become and MTV darling, being put in the same level as talentless hacks such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Nelly and Eminem. What is even more sad is that you have these so-called "hardcore Ozzy fans" who never even heard any of Ozzy's great music, but think they are loyal fans because they watch the show. Ozzy does not belong on TRL, or on the E channel or on ET or access hollywood or on the Rosie O donnel show, he belongs out there rocking his music.
Jason1972 02/19/2003
A funny, dysfunctional family. Though, I can only watch so much of it, though. I get tired of having to turn on the captions feature on my TV just so I can make out what Ozzy is saying. I hope Sharon pulls through with her cancer.
Theatre_Bug_05 02/17/2003
Love this show.
AlphaThetaGamm a 02/15/2003
As a youth, I loved Black Sabbath and Ozzy when he went solo. He has an incredible voice that is truly unique. On his television show, he brings a sense of mortality and commonality to everyone through his tribulations with his wife, children and pets. When one thinks of rock stars, one thinks sex, drugs and rock and roll. Ozzy may of had his share of these in his day, but he truly shows his love for his family in a ****ing big way! Sharon is an angel. Her love for her family extends through any altercation. She is thoughtful and considerate of others and has the patience that we all envy. Kelly is a little brat, but she's a teenager. I was much like her when I was that age, so hopefully she'll grow out of it. Jack seems like a dweeb, but he adds to the diversity of the family and helps make the show click. Ozzy is a riot and I can understand why Sharon loves him so much, as he does her.

nothing nice to say

This is my favorite show. I have loved Ozzy since I was a little girl and to see him in his every day life is really cool.
ashleys 12/06/2002
I have to use this as a place to share what I think of Kelly Osbourne's singing career. The first time I saw her perform I thought it was some sort of joke. Well, I found out it's not. And that's sad. It's apparent that she's out there because of Daddy, but why oh why do we have to be subjected to it? I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I accidentally catch a glimpse of her "talent." The one thing I always make sure to do is run away, very quickly.
Amy55Rose 12/04/2002
I have to admit that the Osbournes is truly funny! But one can only take so much of watching the bratty kids fight and the dogs throwing up EVERYWHERE.In one episode, Ozzy is being served dinner in a private chamber by a butler and the butler brings him the beautiful piece of art that is his dinner. Then he sits there, stabbing his fork blindly at the plate, trying to obtain the food unsuccessfuly until he swears and gives up. This is because he is BRAINDEAD! In his younger years of making music and biting the heads off of small animals, he took drugs constantly in huge amounts, and now look at him. This is the best anti-drug advertisementI have ever heard of! When your kids watch The Osbournes, just tell them "This will be you in 40 years if you take drugs! So go Osbournes! But please, people, don't take this show too seriously!

I take it back – I take it back! To do otherwise would be beyond hypocritical by now. Yes, yesssss! I am mesmerized by this out of control bunch. I’m not in love with their potty mouths, but once you get past all the bleep bleep, what is left are some oddly genuine people here. You really wouldn’t think so on the surface level and I’m not saying they aren’t in this to (as son Jack blatantly admitted) “milk it for all it’s worth”. Of course they are – that’s what Ozzy is about anyway for the love of small, yapping dogs! Once you realize there’s been no real departure from original character in any of their cases, you start to see the people involved. I felt certain I did the other day when Ozzy was being interviewed by Greta (I just gotta face lift) VanSustren. I’m sorry, but I would debate the issue with any of his detractors who might deny that that this man is not completely and sincerely in love with his wife. He even said he’s been doing a lot of praying over the last months as his beloved Sharon battles colon cancer. And it was obvious that he meant it. I feel like it’s fairly easy for most anyone to spot a phony baloney these days especially one in show biz. But as for me, I now say…call them nutters, wackos, eccentric, bizarre or whatever…but the Osbournes are the Osbournes and for that, and some really off the wall, unique entertainment value, I have to give them credit.

I LOVE JACK OSBOURNE!!!!!
jbjb 11/28/2002
It's pretty funny but it can get aa little annoying with all the "BLEEEEEEPS". And I feel bad for jack and kelly because their parents are even cooler than they are!
joeyjoannarial wil111 11/28/2002
Ozzy &Sharon Osbourne made a wonderful decision to accept a position at MTV. I think Ozzy is such a wonderful musician, and Sharon is very lucky. Obviously we only see what is broadcast on TV, but I think your children are so bratty, you need to discipline them some more. Your daughter, Kelly, had very little respect on the Jay Leno show. Your son is very disrespectful as well. It seems that Ozzy & Sharon have very much love for each other and that is what I find so wonderful. I will always be an Ozzy fan, & Sharon, I love you too. But please, Tell your children to have a little respect!!!!!!
wendi1bird 11/27/2002
This is truly a show you either hate or you love. I was taught if I couldn't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, so I, of course, love the Osbournes! Ozzy has been so misunderstood through the years (yes he has a drinking problem, he used to do drugs, etc). I am glad to see the non-concert side of him!! He truly loves his wife and appreciates what she has given him! No they aren't the best parents, but who is!! I know I have made my share of mistakes!!
mandy1979 11/25/2002
I think the show is great!!!!!
Molfan 11/25/2002
I would really give this about a 3.5 or almost 4. It is not so bad as reality shows go. If you can get past the bleeped out foul words. It can sometimes be amusing. I am not one for most of the reality shows. One thing I like is you can tell tht Ozzy really adores his wife. even when everyone seems to be fighting. I have only seen a few of the shows from the first season and I will be curious to see what will happen the second season.{especially since Sharon is battling cancer} I do not think I would watch this every week but every now and then I would not mind tuning in.
Soul_Searcher 11/09/2002
Love the osborne's. It normalizes Ozzy in some ways while making him seem totally off in others....But hey you can say that about just about anybody if you see their life as up close and personal as we can see his. I like it because it gives people a chance to see Ozzy from several different perspectives which should be the way we all look at people.
DeathRattle 10/28/2002
Watching the Osbournes is like watching Ozzy's angsts on the stage. The only difference here is that the entire family (except Aimee....yet she somehow still tends to wreck Kelly's life off camera) is involved. It sure will be a lot of fun then.
addicted 10/28/2002
i have laughed, true enough, but i refuse to watch it anymore. i liked alot of ozzy's music, and could appreciate that he was a "character" while performing on stage. (well, that's what i convinced myself of anyway) this show to me is SOOO sad. bad parenting, very poor examples for their children, and very twisted children as a result.
gillianleigh 10/27/2002
i love them!the are #*#%!great
Terror K 10/26/2002
Anyone who finds humour in this is a pathetic low-brow moron as far as I'm concerned. Is this what quality TV is supposed to be? It's overrated. just plain stupid and only popular because of it's constant swearing and a so called "reality" show (Yeah, it's not staged or anything!) of the grandfather of 'eavy metal. It's pure crap. You'd have to be as stoned as Ozzy to find this good.
lukskywlkr. 10/24/2002
I probably shouldn't, but I like this show. Strange thing is, I never really was a big fan of Ozzy's music. I find it really entertaining to watch how his family interacts with each other. I just can't believe the way they talk to each other. Maybe that's how they communicate with each other: to see who can talk to loudest.
wisdomrace 09/17/2002
Makes my family look normal!
alphytha 07/31/2002
This show is the BEST thing ever to grace TV! Go Lola!
straightup0200 07/24/2002
The Best Family ever, They are real nothing fake and atleast Jack and Kelly can talk to thier parents, unlike most of us. I think they are the best parents and I i hope they write a book on how to become the incredable parents they are. I would read it twice , just to have that kind of relationship with my kids.
Janey_Lane 07/23/2002
I really wasn't expecting to like this show because 1) I'd never heard of Ozzy Osbourne 2) I hate reality shows (Jackass has been the notable exception). But this show is good, really good. No I don't think this is the average American family, they're British aren't they? Watching Kelly and Jack (and the animals, Sharon and Ozzy) is such fun; although I am still not a fan of Ozzy's or Kelly's music. In short, this is an entertaining program if you're not easily offended.
hoopsgirl_24 07/22/2002
i love this show so much! i know many people out there think it's stupid and just a way to make money - but hey, if that's their goal they are doing a damn good job of it! Sure, this show may not portray the typical american family - but just who is the "typical" american family. I think if people took some time to look at the big picture they would see the show isn't so bad! If you think about it the Osbournes live their life the way most humans do! All the other family shows you see are scripted and not an every day thing! THE OSBOURNES ARE JUST THAT - an every day family. Their conversations are real, not read from some dumb script! Ozzy and Sharon are normal parents that love and care for their kids no matter what! Ozzy is not the same old nut case he used to be! He loves his kids and his wife more than anything in the world! And Jack and Kelly are like any other 16 and 17 year old! They are partying and having a good time like kids like to do! They love and respect their parents even if they don't show it! They both know they would be nothing w/o their rents and they are thankful for that! Anyway the bottom line is that i like this show because it's not scripted and in my eyes shows how a family lives their life! It maybe not be the way you live your live but it's how the Osbournes choose to live theirs - and who is anyone to judge that?
sfalconer 07/18/2002
This is hysterical we watched it last night and I was in tears if you have not seen this you must. Even if you are not a Ozzy fan it is still very funny and real.
Jedigirl 07/17/2002
I have found the Osbournes to be quite an entertaining reality show to watch, yet I am surprised on how "simple" Ozzy is......he certainly isn't the bat eating devil I percieved him to be, just because he swears every five minutes doesn't classify him as the prince of darkness. And kelly needs some dicipline, if a 17 year old girl still throws fits.....the parents should worry. My favourite Osbourne would have to be Sharon, so down to earth and nice. I was a little dissapointed at the first episode, it seemed quite boring and I was tempted not to watch it again, but I gave it a chance and every week seems to get better, I just hope this show doesn't give any other hollywood stars any ideas!.....
marsobig 07/16/2002
As the season wrapped up I noticed that I was starting to get tired of these characters. When I first caught a glimpse of Kelly's horrible music video I knew that I wasn't going to be able to tolerate them anymore. I still like Ozzy. He's so spastic that it makes him endearing. The wife, I have mixed feelings about. I saw her on Howard Stern. She was being a total c%@t with Insane Clown Posse. I wanted to see her get her a&@ kicked.
frigger 06/15/2002
To see this legend of a man and his family live there lives in front of me was a thrill my thanks go out to all involved. OZZY you can always get a job as a standup you are hilarious.
Survivorfan1 06/13/2002
I love this show! It is the funniest on TV right now. It's the one show on MTV I'll actually watch. Some people say it's just a gimmick or passing fad, but I say, hop on the Crazy Train with the rest of us because OZZY RULZ!! My favorite scenes have been the one where he fell backwards out of that chair and when the dogs were making a mess in the house. I can't wait for the next season. Sharon is one cool lady too!
Brandi500 06/13/2002
KELLY ROCKS!
nikkybabee 06/13/2002
The show's been off the air for at least a month now, but the web site just keeps giving! Tons of new Video clips and E-cards at http://www.theosbournesonline.com. I don't know if my papa's gonna understand why I'm sending him a clip of Ozzy in drag to celebrate Dad's day, but there's only one way to find out!
deedee4333 06/05/2002
They are just sooo disfunctional how can you say they arent great?!! They are soo funny, and different, that its great...
jaksabbath 06/03/2002
I've been a fan of Ozzy's for about 30 years. I didn't think I could be any more into him, but this t.v. show really cradles my nutsack in a warm, fuzzy, funny way. I just followed a link to their web site at http://www.theosbournesonline.com and fell out of my chair laughing at the video clips. Best part: brand spankin' new Father's Day and Grads e-cards. Ozzy lives.
jjcsays 05/26/2002
I CAN'T WAIT for the new series to begin! In the meantime, there are six new video clips and Kelly's new "Papa Don't Preach" song with Incubus posted at theosbournesonline web site. MORE! NOW! Go there and get your fresh Osbournes fix...
clevelandrocks girl 05/15/2002
I have never laughed so hard at a television show!!!!!
Talena 05/12/2002
This show is so hilarious...I can't get enough of it. My favorite "Osbournes" moment was when Ozzy fell backwards out of his chair and Zakk and the others just rolled their eyes and laughed...that was the epitomy of funny. I am a big metalhead myself, but oddly enough I never really liked Ozzy until I watched the Osbournes...they remind me of my family, in a way. It is a shame that the season is over, hopefully they will do at least one more season...that is, if Kelly and Jack aren't getting tired of the cameras following them around wherever they go.
Missi Marie 05/11/2002
I think,no, I KNOW this show is da bomb! The family is a trip. Did any of yall see tha episode when kelly lost her dad's credit card?well, anywayz..all i have to say is that this show rocks
Sibelius19 05/09/2002
A senseless gimick. I don't know how anybody can call him a "normal everyday american father" or say that their family represents american families in any way shape or form. This is just a cheap and stupid way to rake in the doe; another one of those stupid gimicky reality shows, only without the competition. What's Ozzy's IQ? Anybody know? Just hearing these people talk makes my blood boil. That's if I can even tell what they are saying. Even when you can tell what Ozzy says it defies all logic and sense. So then you just feel bewildered and confused while you try to make up a completely new form of logic in your mind to try and understand what he just said.... Then your brains farts, and you spontaniously combust.....er ok, enough of that. That may have been exaggerated... sorry. I'll put it more bluntly: THE SHOW SUCKS!!!
Lord Luzifer 05/08/2002
it's hilarious!!! and allways entertaining... i really like Kelly and the mother.
kathrynimhoff 05/08/2002
We look forward to this show and hunger for more when it ends. We even watch the reruns to pick up lost tid bits of Ozzy's mumblings. Ozzy is the typical American dad- befuddled but working like a dog to bring in the pay check. Sharon is the typical mom- running the show, the ring master. Ozzy really is sweet in his own demented ineffectual way. It was nice to see the montage of actual hugs and kisses last night. I was beginning to think they never touched. Bring on season 2 ASAP.
wickedday_4155 7 05/08/2002
