Great romantic comedy. Will Smith showed he's a great comedic actor and Eva Mendes looked great and was his equal in a smart and very funny date movie. This movie made me laugh and smile and was thoroughly enjoyable. An enthusiatic Thumbs Up!

Hilarious! Will Smith and Kevin James worked surprisingly well together, and Eva Mendes is smart and sexy. Even Amber Valetta is better than the average model turned actress. Also look for Julie Ann Emery in a small but funny role as Eva's friend. Yeah, it gets a little sappy at times, but just when you start to reach for the Pepto Bismol Smith's face swells from an allergic reaction or there is some silly dancing. Not your average romantic comedy, and most definately worth a look.

You want a funny movie, go see Hitch! It was hilarious. My friend and I laughed the whole way through, as did her two aunts! It was so funny, and Wil Smith cracked me up, when he was teaching the guy to dance.

Overall, very entertaining although some say undemanding. Undemanding's good enough for me though. The best bits are those with Smith and James, especially James demonstration of his dancing skills. On the downside, the romance between Smith and Mendes is unconvincing and the Mendes character is too unappealing, a spiky bint with a bad temper, bad attitude and no ethics. She's quite happy to screw other people just to get her story. Frankly a high maintenance girlfriend from hell.

My girlfriend and I found this movie to be completely hysterical. We haven't laughed that much at a movie in a long time. We went in with medium expectations (Will Smith was in it, so it couldn't be all bad) and were pleasantly surprised. I think this movie works because it's a reflection of how most people really feel about the dating scene. I particularly thought the last half-hour or so was great, when you see how difficult it is for him to talk to the woman he loves. I HIGHLY recommend this film!!!

The movie is rather bland, with sparse moments of weak laughter to break the drawn out moments of predictable and dull events. I was all hyped up by the commercials that looked so promising, and then utterly disappointed when I left the theater (which I shouldnt have even entered) after 115 minutes of infantilizing (and somewhat sleazy) humor and awkward, repetitious dialogue (ok, I get it 8 out of 10 women think that the first kiss is important. Let it go already). Youd think a movie with Will Smith and Kevin James would be hilarious, but not even the best of actors can make this cliché laden script work on the screen. Best see another movie instead.

This movie wasn't exactly bad, but wasn't all that great either. I guess it was just weird to see Will Smith straying from the action/comedy stuff he usually does, and try to be romantic. Overall, it seemed like this movie just tried too hard and the actors were unnatural playing the roles that they did. Cute idea though!

I did not have any expectations when I went to the theatres to watch that movie. But I was pleasently surprised. Will Smith was very funny and so were all the other actors. The story was not crazy unique but it made me laugh a lot. It is not that kind of movie you will remember for a long time. It was great entertainment and that is what I was looking for.

Will Smith is a date doctor, teaching all the pathetic guys in New York how to pick up even the most stunning women. His motto is that any man, at any particular moment, has the ability to sweep any woman off her feet. He knows all the right moves, all the right things to say, until he meets the girl of his dreams. Will Smith and Kevin James are hilarious.
