He had lots of good ones and had great talent. His health was bad and we lost him early. That was a shame. He had a bad heart and had a mechanical heart valve inserted. That gave out as it was not so refined in the early 1970's.

he died when i was still a boy, but as an adult i have started to appreciate how truly talented bobby darin was. i really enjoyed songs such as mack the knife, dream lover, splish splash, and beyond the sea, but my favorite, without question, is if i were a carpenter. that song never fails to make me a little misty. a shame for his family that he died young, but in death he will always be young and so full of life.

The Greatest. Right up there with the rarefied Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett. Beyond the Sea, Clementine, and Dream Lover are classics. But Mack The Knife may just be the best song I've ever heard.

A fine singer, versatile entertainer, capable songwriter and accomplished musician on several instruments. One of the most talented acts ever to make it big. Kinda overlooked and forgotten these days, but back in the early 1960s he was hot stuff. The only knock on him was he was not too discriminating in the material he recorded, so as a result, there's quite a few clinkers in his canon.

He sure was versatile. That is evident from the fact he did everything from "Splish Splash" to "If I Were A Carpenter." "Mac The Knife" was classic. But over all I don't see him as any more than okay.

Bobby was a great artist, much of his music will stand the test of time...I'm old enought to remember his television show and that too was good. Beyond the Sea, Mack the Knife...much more talented than his contempories.

Bobby Darin was such a multi talented performer. Had he lived longer, he would probably have become a legend in the way of Sinatra or Dean Martin. For each genre of music that Darin ventured into, he was able to create music that has stood the test of time. It's too bad that Generation X doesn't really know of this true talent.

While I don't really consider him"bad" He certainly doesn't deserve a high spot on this list.

Beyond the Sea is probably one of the greatest songs ever written. Not to mention Dream Lover. Too bad his life was cut short but we still have is music, which has passed the test of time with flying colors.

One of the great talents of our time who career was cut short by a bad heart. One listen to "Darin At The Copa" and you will see how talented he was.
